Greetings to everybody in this wonderful community, today I bring you two special edition beers, they're two beers that are rarely made because of their high alcohol level and their pricey manufacturing, by two amazing Peruvian breweries that always amaze us with their contributions to local craft beers, "7 Vidas" and "Sierra Andina".

Un saludo a esta maravillosa comunidad, el día de hoy traigo dos cervezas de edición especial, son dos cervezas que rara vez se hacen porque tienen un grado alcohólico muy alto y su elaboración puede ser costosa, de la mano de dos maravillosas cervecerías peruanas que suelen sorprender con sus aportes al mundo de la cerveza artesanal, como lo son "7 Vidas" y "Sierra Andina".

It's a wonderful beer that is very rare for the amount of hop and barley. It is a special edition that is made once a year, perfect for today that we are talking about limited edition wonders.

Normally in hoppy beers, on a standard example, we go from the softest pale ale: American Indian Pale Ale, then we have double IPA and then Triple IPA. The thing with the triple is that if usually an IPA is hoppy and alcoholic (with resinous, pine, floral, citrus and earthy notes, yet bitter from the hops), a double IPA will be more dense with an even greater charge of hops and alcohol and therefore more malted barley to balance it out, so a triple IPA would be in formula... Well, the triple.

With a bit more than 11 degrees of alcohol by volume and declaring 120 IBU, the color is very yellow with a nice head. Citrus notes of passion fruit, mango and peach, hoppy and very refreshing in nose. Taste wise you can get the strong hop sensation but very well rounded, the alcohol is not all over the place, but well balanced by the body. Very rounded and very alcoholic.

For me it would be a maximum of three of them to keep tasting other beers.

Es una magnífica cerveza que no se hace usualmente por la cantidad de lúpulo y cebada. Se trata de una edición especial que se saca una vez al año, perfecta para hoy que vamos a hablar de cervezas de edición limitada

Normalmente en cervezas lupuladas, en un ejemplo estándar, partimos desde la más suave pale ale: American Indian Pale Ale, luego tenemos una doble IPA, y terminamos con la triple. El tema con la triple IPA es que si normalmente una IPA es lupulada y alcohólica (con sensaciones o notas resinosas, pinaceas, florales, cítricas y terrosas pero amargas por la carga de lúpulo), una doble IPA será aún más densa con mayor carga de lúpulo y alcohol, la cerveza tiene más cebada malteada para balancear el grado alcohólico, entonces una triple IPA sería en fórmula... pues, el triple.

Tiene más de 11 grados alcolicos y según se declara tiene 120 de IBU, el color es amarillo con una buena cabeza. Tiene sensación cítrica como a maracuyá, mango y durazno, bien lupulada y muy refrescante en nariz. En boca tiene sensación lupulada intensa pero bien equilibrada, el alcohol tampoco está disperso sino más bien equilibrado por el cuerpo que posee. Bien redonda y bastante alcohólica.

Para mí sería de tomar un máximo de tres para seguir probando otras cervezas.

This beauty comes back to the market after being manufactured for the last time on 2017, which makes it a well awaited beer. After this batch is over it wont be made for a whole year at least, so this is the perfect time to take the opportunity and give it a good taste.

It is a very interesting beer starting by the fact that it technically is not declaring a style, they say it is "Imperial Ale" but it's not a style per se, it would be more like a British Strong Ale or an Old Ale, it is very alcoholic but completely different than the previous beer.

With dried fruit, toffee and candy notes, great body, a brown almost ruby color that is not translucent at all and very little head because of the great alcohol level. It is a very liquorish beer in aftertaste, being very dry at the end. Definitely a gem that was worth waiting for.

Esta preciosura vuelve al mercado luego de que se fabricará por última vez en 2017, lo que la convierte en una cerveza bien esperada por el público. Luego de finalizar el lote no se fabricará por lo menos hasta haber pasado un año, así que es el momento perfecto para aprovechar y probarla.

Es una cerveza interesante empezando porque técnicamente no declara estilo, ellos colocan "Imperial Ale" pero no es una categoría en si misma, más bien sería una British Strong Ale o una Old Ale, es sumamente alcoholica pero totalmente distinta a la anterior.

Con sensaciones a frutos seco, toffee, caramelo y con bastante cuerpo, su color es de un marrón casi rubí, para nada translúcida y cabeza mínima, por el mismo tema de la cantidad de alcohol de la misma. Es una cerveza bien licorosa en retrogusto, siendo seca al final. Definitivamente una joya por la que vale la pena la espera.
