A Rainbow or Two

What is better than a Rainbow you might ask? Well if you said a “Double Rainbow”, you would be right. Nothing I love more than a great rainbow. Did you know that a rainbow has 7 colours, and those seven colours always display in the same order? Starting with: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Basic science you might say. Light refracted through water droplets suspended in the air. I think I learned that in grade 6, but had to look it up anyways! What do you think of when you see a rainbow?

The situation can change in such a short time.
One minute we're enjoying our walk on the rainbow, partying with its twin brother in the sky - and then all of a sudden...
Someone has placed a glass ball on top of us! Who is to blame for this? Is it ourselves because we don't appreciate nature? Or have aliens been playing a practical joke on us?
I hope it's not the end of the world, because I just bought a new pair of shoes last week 😉😊.

Where I live it is already difficult to see one rainbow, now two is almost impossible, but what beautiful pictures to document it!

Double rainbow. Sounds interesting and appreciate your sharp photography. Such a clarity. This reminds of my school days where we were taught to remember the order of rainbow colours as "VIBGYOR".

Double rainbows are always fun too see. Color pictures take the cake here! The monochromes look more like a moonbow, ever see one of these? Instead of sunlight it's produced by moonlight, they are pretty cool
