My Actifit RC: August 1st 23 - Alien invasion at sunset - IAAC 421

A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.

A typical summer day welcomes me at the Circumvesuviana station of Barra where a magnificent mural keeps me company while the train arrives.

My destination is Capodichino, a suburb of the city of Naples, where a blue sky seems to be drawn by a painter stands out in the grey suburbs.

At the end of my appointment the sun has already begun its journey to the zenith and is about to emerge from behind the church of our Lady of Lourdes.

Piazza Carlo III is in complete harmony with the chromatic framework of the day. On the hill at the bottom, in the center of the photo, the Certosa di San Martino is always vigilant from above.

Behind this monumental and picturesque very picturesque palace that houses a hotel there is the mysterious church of Sant'Antonio Abate.

On this place of worship much information has been lost and there are testimonies that date back to the time of the Angevins. However, it may be older and may represent one of the oldest churches in the city.

The last time I saw it seemed smaller but now that the yard has almost finished its renovation work denotes a huge complex consisting of Lazzaretto, bell tower, church and cloister.

Of remarkable beauty is the eighteenth-century facade with a finely curated entrance door.

The interior is very beautiful but simple with a single nave while the ceiling is well made in wooden drawers in the center of which there is the vacuum caused by the disappearance of the painting that there was in 1945.

Going down the road of Sant'Antonio Abate I found myself in the local market from where the church of Sant'Anna a Capuano suddenly appeared.

The interior of this which was a small chapel of the friars of the convent of San Francesco da Paola and circular with a double staircase leading to the altar which is located in a raised floor compared to the faithful.

The dome is adorned with stucco sculptures of fine workmanship set with a painting of the sixteenth century.

From the name of the church I understood that we had ended up in the area of Porta Capuana. The magnificent opening from which the road leading to Capua in Caserta started. At the center the arch was packed for renovations.

And now to return home but before we immortalize these two historic buildings at the opening of Corso Garibaldi recently renovated that denote the huge redevelopment work that is being done of this whole area that was long abandoned neglect.

Once back home I noticed this beautiful cloud formation and that the atmosphere has a particularly lively color closer to spring than summer.

At sunset a flying saucer-shaped cloud seemed to download its luminous disk on the buildings adjacent to mine.

As another giant lobster-shaped cloud formation emerged from the clouds on the horizon.

After a few minutes the mothership was unloading a beautiful sunset on the lens of my lens in an endless moment of magic that heralded a wonderful evening.

Thanking the plumber who was repairing the air conditioner while I immortalized the enchanting light show celebrating my #iamalivechallenge 421 and it is at times like these that one can say that I am truly #alive and grateful to exist.
