wp-dapp is ALIVE!!

I'm super stoked.

Imagine holding a platform that serves censorship-proof content, provides governance structures for building communities and projects, and offers comprehensive commerce solutions—all in one place.

Introducing wp-dapp: WordPress Web3 Syndication Plugin

We are living in possibly the most transformative time in humanity—so far. Built upon countless foundational layers, we owe immense gratitude to all who have contributed.

After what feels like an eternity of learning and contemplation, I finally have a tangible tool that posts to Hive from WordPress. It's janky and simple at the moment, but it works.

Using WordPress as a Hive front end could be a genuine superpower. Imagine a platform that serves censorship-proof content in unique ways, provides governance structures for communities and projects, and offers comprehensive commerce solutions.

Hive Keychain integration is an amazing feature. Endless thanks to all the developers who made it available. I can even add them as beneficiaries to my content from WordPress!

The test site is live at dapp.diggndeeper.com (from where I'm writing this post!). I'm currently using GitHub for development and plan to eventually list it on WordPress.org.

I'm eager to set up a Witness Node and I may consider running an application server as I implement additional features.

This past week was a grind. Now, I'm reviewing everything, compiling this update, and figuring out the next steps. It's funny—I feel like this project and I are newborns, just coming to life and trying to stand up, lol.

The project page has been up for quite a while and needs some work, so that's my next task. Then I can post from there! I can finally start building out my site with fully open-source and decentralized foundations. I've been contemplating this for a long time and have held back content until I could publish to Hive natively with WordPress as my front end.

The next, and perhaps final, hurdle to full decentralization is DNS. That's where exploration into mesh networks comes into play. I have plans for that too.

I plan to dedicate the rest of my life to working diligently on this. I love this stuff.

What an amazing time to be alive.

Stay tuned!

Love it, we need more of this kind of thing :)

My plugin goes the other way (hive to WP in draft) so that hive gets the content exclusivity for whatever period but the goal of liberating the content is the same :)

Very exciting indeed. And thank you for making this open source, I'm perusing your code with high interest. It's very readable, I like it.

Is there a plan to have WP read from the blockchain as well? instead of storing the posts into the backend db? mabye integrate hivesql for this?

I am aware of that project and I'm looking into it more now. I do intend to have it work both ways eventually.

Thank you for checking it out! I appreciate your question. Keep'em coming.

Dear @themarkymark, @buildawhale, @gogreenbuddy, @usainvote, @ipromote, and whoever else is involved in this scheme,

You call us "nutty as squirrel poop," but the real nuttiness lies in your actions. Let’s break it down for everyone watching:

  1. The BuildaWhale Scam Farm:
    We’ve exposed how @buildawhale operates as an unlimited money glitch, siphoning rewards away from honest creators while contributing nothing of value to Hive. Yet instead of addressing this glaring issue, you continue to defend it. Here’s proof for anyone who cares to look: BuildaWhale’s Activity.

  2. Downvoting Good Content While Self-Voting Spam:
    It’s shameful how you downvote legitimate contributions while self-voting your own spam posts. This isn’t just unethical—it’s a blatant abuse of the system designed to enrich yourselves at the expense of others. Do you really think this behavior benefits Hive? Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.

  3. Transactions Don’t Lie:
    Every action you take—every delegation, every vote—is permanently recorded on the blockchain. The evidence is there for all to see. No amount of ridicule or deflection will erase the truth. You can keep digging your hole deeper, but the more you fight, the clearer it becomes that you’ve already lost.

At Bilpcoin, we’re here to expose corruption and hold bad actors accountable. What do you contribute besides scamming, farming, and suppressing dissent? The contrast speaks volumes.

Keep trying to discredit us if it makes you feel better—it won’t change the facts. As we’ve said before: transactions don’t lie, and neither do we. The truth is out, and no amount of mockery or suppression will bury it.

Sincerely,
The Bilpcoin Team

Dear @jacobtothe,

You claim we’re "unhinged" and compare us to flat-earth believers, yet it’s ironic how you refuse to engage with the evidence we present. The blockchain doesn’t lie, and every transaction tells a story—one you choose to ignore because it exposes uncomfortable truths about your actions and those of your friends.

It’s almost comical how only you and your downvoting, farming clique rush to defend unethical practices like scam farms and coordinated suppression campaigns. Your behavior speaks volumes about where your priorities lie. Instead of addressing the systemic harm you enable, you dismiss critics as delusional or unhinged. But let’s be honest: the real issue isn’t our sanity—it’s your refusal to confront reality.

Speaking of reality, perhaps it’s time for you to take a hard look in the mirror. You accuse us of being self-righteous, yet here you are, obsessively downvoting anyone who dares to expose the truth. Take this post https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@bpcvoter2/seo-breakdown-of-all-transactions-for-theycallmemarky by @bpcvoter2, for example: instead of engaging with the evidence, you silenced it with a downvote. How does that contribute to meaningful dialogue? It doesn’t. It only highlights your desperation to suppress accountability.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Bilpcoin is here to help Hive by exposing corruption and holding bad actors accountable. What do you do besides enabling abuse and protecting unethical practices? The contrast couldn’t be clearer.

If you truly cared about Hive, you’d stop defending scams and start working toward solutions. Until then, we’ll keep shining a light on the truth—because no amount of downvotes or deflection will erase it. Maybe spend some time reflecting on your choices instead of wasting energy fighting against the truth LOL. Who knows? You might discover there’s more to life than protecting corruption.

Sincerely,
The Bilpcoin Team

Glad to see interest in this kind of work re-ignite on Hive! I hope it will be successful! Maybe @howo can give you some pointers, he worked on something similar in the past on the previous chain (maybe even moved over to Hive, I don't recall). From what I remember, one of the biggest challenges of such a WP plugin, especially if you want to make it fully usable to the point of commenting and voting bidirectionally (both from Hive and from WP to reflect on the other side), would be that such a plugin would be quite heavy, and that's usually something WP website owners don't like, if they tweak for better SEO.

I used EXXP for a while and they seem to have abandoned it. I have been in their Discord asking about it and there has been no responses so that's why I'm working on this myself.

I haven't started working on syncing or 2-way comms, but that is coming up soon. I hope its more easily solved now that there are a lot more tools and docs.

Ah, right! EXXP was its name after moving to Hive. I haven't looked at WP since I moved to Hive's legacy chain, but I'm sure it evolved. Just like programming tools or even AI as a helper.

Thanks for bringing my attention to this I'm glad @diggndeeper.com is picking up the torch :)

Yeah there's a couple of challenges that I'll post in a separate comment to give some future advice.

That is awesome. Thank you very much! I really like that plugin and I would like to replicate it's function and I have some other ideas I'd like to do also.

Awesome! I hope he will be able to use your extensive work on the WP plugin, even only from the experience and pitfalls point of view, if maybe there are better tools/tech now he can use.

It is exciting to see you doing this kind of things, it is also inspiring to keep learning programming and develop tools that can be useful to the hive blockchain, we need more users like you in the network.

Thank you. I love this stuff.

Great project ! Feel free to check out the exxp repo if you ever want some insights on how we did things: https://github.com/drov0/exxp

I also wrote at length about how we managed two-way integration and let users comment on hive with wordpress accounts: https://peakd.com/steempress/@howo/how-we-let-non-hive-users-interact-with-the-hive-blockchain-with-steempress-a-case-study

This was 5 years ago so there might be a better solution now but food for thought

Some quick advice from the top of my head:

You need to setup cannonical links otherwise people who already have a blog will see their SEO drop. It's as simple as adding it in the json_metadata, see this post as an example: https://peakd.com/arduino/@howo/buildingatimetrackerusingarduinoandblockchaintangletimepart2-mok7qjklgy

{
    "json_metadata": {
        "canonical_url": "https://brokencode.io/building-a-time-tracker-using-arduino-and-blockchain-tangletime-part-2/",
....
}

Keychain integration is great and a good innovation on avoiding the "manage the private keys" issue + no need for a server, although this prevents people from scheduling posts and I know bloggers tend to do most of their posts scheduled so this might be a blocker in the future, maybe there's a way to trigger a notification on the mobile app ? I haven't coded with keychain in a while, cc @stoodkev.

With great passion comes massive success and am glad the goal is working as planned, I've never use wordpress for hive but with this pluggin can anyone implement it on any laptop? By the way setting up the witness node is a great idea I'll say go for it

That's a great question. My real goal is to make it super easy to self host. That means, yes. I expect you will be able to deploy it on basically anything and use it for about anything. Thats my open source and decentralized dream for this.

0

avatar

That will be fantastic, will be first on the list to test it out, how long precisely do you aim to achieve this goal, the time frame i mean

Another great question. To have a full server ready to deploy on any computer using something portable like Docker or a virtual machine is the easiest and most portable way I'm aware of. That's not a major hurdle these days. So, maybe within a month or so if I try to focus on that.

It is the whole purpose of a decentralized front end. The next major hurdle, as I see it, is DNS. That's a major choke point we need to solve.

the project is not an easy one but will come with great potential once its established. and am routing for its wounderful outcome

Excellent, I am looking forward to learning more about this. The Expp dapp did cease, I see they have posted in the comments. They may be a great resource for collaboration or any tips that may be not outdated. I really liked using that Dapp when it was going. They made code available and encouraged others to take up the torch I believe, Great stuff man!
