Feliz jueves de recuerdo, jueves de #tbt

Hace unos dias me encontré con esta foto. Es de una epoca en la que estuve muy delgada, a veces miro estas fotos y no me reconozco. Fue una epoca dura en la que caminaba mucho para ir a trabajar y había perdido el apetito. Pero de las cosas tristes prefiero pasar pagina y brindar por la vida.

Una de nuestros emprendimientos por más de 10 años fue la fabricación de ron con ponsigue, bebida tradicional del oriente de Venezuela. El ron con ponsigue de la dulce crucita, tal como decía su etiqueta.

Fue así como el ron con ponsigue se convirtió en la bebida oficial de cada celebración, cada compartir y cada ocasión especial de nuestro hogar.

Hoy tan lejos de casa, veo esta foto y me da un poco de nostalgía. En invierno pensé muchas veces: ¡Uf, hace falta un roncito para el frio! Jajaja... Me pregunto si la botella que dejamos en Cumaná estará bien añeja para celebrar nuestro regreso (de fecha incierta) o si se habrá evaporado para cuando esto ocurra. De cualquier forma ya se está marchando el frio y pronto queré ponches frescos y frutales para espantar el calor.

Eso sí, esos vasitos se vinieron conmigo en la maleta, por si se presenta la ocasión de brindar y probar nuevas recetas. Porque de eso se trata la vida, de explorar, aprender, reirse, llorar y brindar. Bueno y algunas cosas más, en el medio de todo eso.

Ya me puse muy filosofica y tengo mucho que hacer asi que me despido hasta una proxima ocasión. ¡Salud!

A few days ago I came across this photo. It's from a time when I was very thin, sometimes I look at these photos and I don't recognize myself. It was a hard time when I walked a lot to go to work and I had lost my appetite. But I prefer to turn the page on sad things and toast to life.

One of our ventures for more than 10 years was the manufacture of rum with ponsigue, a traditional drink from eastern Venezuela. The rum with ponsigue from the sweet crucita, just as its label said.

That's how rum with ponsigue became the official drink of every celebration, every gathering and every special occasion in our home.

Today, so far from home, I see this photo and it makes me a little nostalgic. In winter I often thought: Ugh, we need a little rum for the cold! Hahaha... I wonder if the bottle we left in Cumaná will be old enough to celebrate our return (of uncertain date) or if it will have evaporated by the time this happens. In any case, the cold is already leaving and soon I will want fresh and fruity punches to scare away the heat.

Of course, those little glasses came with me in the suitcase, in case the occasion arises to toast and try new recipes. Because that's what life is about, exploring, learning, laughing, crying and toasting. Well, and a few more things, in the middle of all that.
