Cars, new and old

When I saw the theme for this week's POBPhotocontest, I knew I would join 😀
The picture that @friendlymoose posted in the announcement post with vintage Citroen cars prompted me to post some photos of Citroens as well.

But those new Citroen cars will not be the topic of my post.
The reason is simple.
I have something much more interesting.

A friend of mine has an exceptional example of a car from England in his restoration workshop.
It's a 1969 MG MGB.

MGB Roadster, petrol engine, manual transmission 4+R, 1799cc³, 77KW, 103 PS.

During that time, more than half a century ago, an exceptional machine.

I can't wait for it to be completely restored, so that I can take a ride in it.

Then, if my friend allows me and if his car is still in the workshop, I will make another post, with pictures of the decorated interior, ready for further sale.

Now the car is fixed from the outside, painted, varnished, all parts are chromed again (bumpers, rims, rearview mirror, even the exhaust looks like new), but the interior of the cabin and the engine are still waiting for their 5 minutes.

When the car is completely restored, this fifty-five year-old will shine in all his beauty.
But then, the post will probably go to the #HiveCollector community, because this car is an antique, a valuable collector's item.
