One new Milk Stout beer for #BeerSaturday
Sometimes it's very complicated to be a true beer lover and enjoy a relaxed tasting of your favorite beverage.
And why is that so, at least in my case?
I don't have any well-known and well-stocked pubs in my neighborhood, so if I want to drink beer in one of them, I have to go by car (and then I'm in violation if I drink some % of alcohol) or by bus (and then I'm at risk that in the middle of the bus ride, the beer I drank will end up on my bladder, so I have to go to the toilet 😀 which is not possible on the bus).
In any case, if someone doesn't drive me or I don't take a taxi, I'm in trouble.
And that's why I usually enjoy beers at home.
And there I have another "obstacle".
To my partner, who today, when I took out two cans of beer that I thought I was going to drink, said to me: "Why both, one is enough for you to refresh yourself, and for tasting...".
And what should I do, in order to have peace in the house, I agreed to accept her proposal and drink just one beer.
When I read the labels of the two I had left in this box, I realized they were both dark.
One is a Porter, and the other is the Chocolate Milk stout that I tasted today.
In the box I bought in Hungary, there were also some IPA beers, which I had drunk before. I have presented them in these posts.
now it's the turn of this "strange" chocolate-flavored beer.
Chocolate cheesecake milk stout by Monyo brewery from Budapest.
I am glad that I came across this festive packaging with limited series of beer, because this milk stout is no longer offered by Monyo brewery.
After opening the can, I smelled cocoa, as if someone opened chocolate next to me.
When pouring, the dark brown color of the beer resembles hot chocolate. The foam remains high and the aromas that are released on the smell and taste are like smelling and putting real cocoa in your mouth.
The creamy, full taste that it leaves in the mouth completely deceives the taste, so at first it doesn't seem like it's beer.
And there is beer, unfiltered, which, in addition to barley malt and hops, contains lactose, which gives it such a creamy structure, and in order to give it the name cheesecake, cream aroma and chocolate aroma were added to this beer.
Pleasant 5.3% alcohol, without any bitterness or carbonation, so when I drank this beer, it was as if I was drinking milk seasoned with cocoa, with a mild taste of beer.
My partner said: "Yuck" to the combination, but honestly, I liked this beer, or better to write the drink. Due to the creamy texture and full sweet taste, it would not be good if I combined it with food.
And considering the taste of cocoa that has been left in them for a long time, I believe that even the Porter that I left with the next tasting would not taste good to me.
So for this #BeerSaturday I greet you by presenting only this Milk Stuot beer.
Cheers!
