Hello everyone!

It's my first time participating in the Qurator's Photo Quest and this time it's about Conceptual Photography.

Es mi primera vez participando en el Qurator's Photo Quest y esta vez es sobre Fotografía Conceptual.

Flying Free [ENG]

My photography can evoke different sensations and emotions, but it draws attention there in an emblematic square in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital, we find a special point called "Cais das Colunas" (Pier of the columns) where when looking at the horizon everything is left behind, the city, the noise and our thoughts.

Perhaps only one of our thoughts remains with us, the others seem to have been blown away by the wind. We think about those seagulls that fly around, flying free, heading somewhere without caring about these columns or us as spectators.

We feel envy or simply peace. And the image in black and white still evokes freedom but also something else, a certain nostalgia for other times, when perhaps not only the seagulls but also we were freer.

This photograph is mine, taken with my Samsung mobile and edited in black and white.

Volando libres (ESP)

Mi fotografía puede evocar diferentes sensaciones y emociones, pero llama la atención ahí en una emblemática plaza de Lisboa, la capital portuguesa encontramos un punto especial llamado "Cais das Colunas" (Muelle de las columnas) donde al mirar al horizonte todo queda atrás, la ciudad, el ruido y nuestros pensamientos.

Quizá sólo uno de nuestros pensamientos permanece con nosotros, los demás parece que se los haya llevado el viento. Pensamos en esas gaviotas que vuelan alrededor, vuelan libres, en dirección a algún lugar sin importarles esas columnas o nosotros como espectadores.

Sentimos envidia o simplemente paz. Y la imagen así en blanco y negro aún nos evoca libertad pero también algo más, cierta nostalgia de otros tiempos, en los que quizás no sólo las gaviotas sino también nosotros éramos más libres.
