Evolution My social Life

They say "change is constant," and this is true. Nothing has ever remained the same since the beginning and this includes one's lifestyle, personality, and social life. I grew up as an introvert, the only place I felt comfortable with was my room, hanging around people was not so comfortable to me. Sometimes my grandma needed to force me to hang around friends and I was back inside before she knew it. I hardly talk in public except if I needed to. This continued through to my secondary school days where I started longing to associate myself with people and experience a different world outside that which I was used to.

Many factors influenced my decision , first were the friends I had . I loved how easily they socialized and it was easier for them to make friends. Secondly, I started to get bored with my social life and I needed something more and that's where the desire to change started. I attended social gatherings a few times, at first I couldn't relate like the others but I tried to talk to one or two persons and gradually I started feeling comfortable around people even though I needed my space sometimes.

I'm not all social but I've seen a significant improvement in my social life. I'm able to interact with people and make new friends, thanks to books I read and the few times I was forced to engage in a talk. I'm not an extrovert yet, I doubt if I can be but there has been a change compared to years back, and I believe this version of me is the better part. It has been a process and so far, my social life has improved, from the introverted nature of me to a balanced state.
