Life is a mystery

A few months before my graduation from secondary school. I had my life planned out, I felt everything would go smoothly just because I expected life to answer to my plea but it turned out to be a big surprise for me. Forward into 2015, 4 years after my graduation, I was still seeking admission into a tertiary institution, a different thing from what I had imagined. I finally got admitted to study a course I never knew existed, I did and graduated 3 years for a 2 years course due to national strike and other unseen circumstances that arose.

It's true that life is a mystery, we don't know what lies in tomorrow, we only learn to accept what the tomorrow offers. Unfortunately no one has ever been prepared for what happens to them, it comes suddenly and this requires that we keep adjusting to life everyday as we live. No one has ever been prepared and the funny part about life is that it has shaped a lot of people to think differently with the hope of survival or living their best.

I heard a story of someone who was born with a silver spoon. He grew up believing he has no worries because after his education, his father's connection was enough to find him a job in any place he needed. Just before his graduation, his parents had an accident and died in the process. This incident affected his mindset about life, he no longer plans for tomorrow, he lives in the moment because he no longer trusts in tomorrow that is unknown. He doesn't believe in savings or having to invest in what promises tomorrow because of what happened to his parents which was unplanned after their hard work and saving. So we are never prepared for life, life is a mystery, no one knows tomorrow. We can learn to adapt to what life offers.

This part was interesting

funny part about life is that it has shaped a lot of people to think differently with the hope of survival or living their best

And I think that's because no one wants their plans to be ruined, so we all try to plan everything as best as we can hoping that in the end things will turn out the way we want.

I also read somewhere that the fact that we exert ourselves physically and mentally in an activity makes us believe that we are going to obtain the desired result simply due to the fact that we have worked on it.

Yeah, people often believe so but ends up with a shock especially when life happens to them. But then, it's good to plan and work, but the guarantee is not 100% assured
