My Three favorite posts on the hive platform
These are not entirely my favorite posts, they're only among the favorites and this is for a reason. Some years ago when I joined the hive platform, I was told by my onboarder that the only way to stay recognized is to engage in contests, truly this advice helped, but I was unable to write posts that flowed up genuinely from passion but needed to follow a prompt and to ensure I wrote just what they loved. Thank God for time. Soon I grew and started writing posts that reflected on things I wanted to let the world know and these posts are part of them.
The first post on the list is titled; A dive into Spirituality. It's a post I hope to write in series and it's centered about spirituality and the physical world. From childhood, I have always wanted to know what this cosmos holds , it has been my greatest desire. Is religion an illusion or a history of reality? Is the invisible world in existence or some fallacy? All these are questions that run through my mind and I got the opportunity to start this series through a collaboration between Creative Work Hour (CWH) and the dreemport community. Unlike the regular post, this post is written out of my passion and inquisitive mind to know the truth and I wasn't bothered about format or login, I wrote what flowed through my desire and this makes me feel satisfied.
The second post on the list is a creative story about pirate war. I'm not too good at writing stories, but I was pleased with the result from this story. The twist and crafted words show how much I am improving and this brings me Joy. I like to know I'm growing, everyone does. The story might not be the best, but it marks the beginning of my growth and it's worth a pin because I was pleased I could write a good short story on an adventure that I'm a bit satisfied with.
Finally, this is a nonfiction post on my childhood memories, my first love experience. The post holds certain memories that make me laugh each time I go back to it. I was naive, and I understand it was the reason behind most things I did. Our past leaves us with lessons and this is one of those past memories that's funny and at the same time leaves us with lessons and that's why I consider it one of my favorite posts. Someday I may want to share this post with my children and just tell them to be careful in love not to behave the way I did when I was their age.
Given you been on the chain for over 3 years and your favourite posts are all within a month old looks like you weren't a big fan of your old works, which probably also indicates how it's taken you a while to find yourself finally, and that's great news
I think it has been more like a gradual process of growth.
I wasn't a writer when I joined the chain, I was more focused on contests. But I'm beginning to loosen up
It's great to hear that. Contests are great when you have writers block but sometimes you can get shoe horned into writing something for the sake of writing something. However, it can also be good to engage with people, that's also a way of taking part.
Hive can be a good training ground to develop so many skills, writing is of course one of them, and it's good to see it's having an impact on you!
