This is my entry for the dreemport thread contest

The Trons looked around, surrendered by the hyenas.

"Stay close" The leader of the Trolls said, he knew the hyenas feed like vampires, eating their victims alive and that was only possible if they were divided. They formed a circle in their small number facing the hyenas.

"Don't move, allow them to attack," he added.

The hyenas as if reading the Troll's thoughts only moved around them laughing and waiting for an opportunity to pounce on them. The Trolls kept their gaze straight and ready their weapons, even though winning the battle seemed impossible, they wouldn't allow fear ride them.

Just when the hyenas took their first pounce, the storm came. The armies stood still frightened by the uproar. Gradually the hyenas gnash to their cave leaving behind the Trolls. The Trolls sighed heavily, rescued by the storm. Quickly they matched to a place of safety before the cloud released its rain. Raju, one of the Trolls brought out a scroll while they were in hiding and read it to their hearing, the prophecy of the 100 had long being told

There shall come a time when the Trolls would be scattered, left in few numbers about a 100 and they shall form a new descendants, stronger, powerful, and agile than any Troll that had lived and they shall live among rocks and shadbush, and feed on berries

"If the prophecy had said we'll live in rocks, it means we are in the right place," Raju said.

"What about the hyenas?" One asked.

"We'll fight, but first we need to know the best way to attack being few in number "

They immediately built a proving ground testing their newly built weapons and stayed hidden in the caves training on their combat skills, while they sneak at night to fetch food from the fertile plants. On the 40th day Raju, along with two Trolls were sent out to learn the tactics of the hyenas and the armadillos. If they needed a territory, they wanted to take it all, the leader proposed.

90 days had gone, Raju and the other two Trolls had not returned. The fields were getting dry save for the place where the hyenas and armadillos lived that had streams with green plants. There were just 10 days left until their endurance limit and they couldn't wait until their strength was weak. No strategies, no knowledge to the weaken points of the hyenas, they set to engage them in battle,

"If the prophecy is true, then let it speak for us" the leader said as they marched out for battle.
