The dual nature of humanity: Exploring the good and bad within

Since the beginning of the fall of man, the bible had recorded the introduction of the knowledge of good and bad. It became a part of humanity where they both dwell, but one is often dormant and the other active. Bad is often associated with negativity, darkness, and destructive tendencies while good is associated with positivity, life-affirming qualities, and light. However, in the heart of a man reside the two concepts, and they can be nurtured from around our environment, circumstances, and through spirituality.

The fact that everyone detest doing wrong makes it easier for people to do good. One who does wrong things often wants to do them in secret, or bears the stigma of bad reputation. A child who wants to steal will need to make calculative moves ensuring no one is there but this is different with a child who offers to wash dishes. Doing bad is morally wrong and unacceptable by any society. It will take one more energy to do bad than to do good and this is because no society accepts doing bad.

Even though sometimes it requires sacrifices to do good, it comes with ease. That's because there's nothing there to hide or learn. Evil people are often insecure, running when nothing is chasing them, sometimes they are restless, and they live a double standard life. Good often wins over bad just as good over evil.

It cost nothing to be good but it cost one everything to be bad. People who do bad things were once considered as good people until circumstances or their environment changed them. They had to transform their mind continually exerting strength until their conscience adapted to their new nature. One can choose to be good at anytime but it requires certain level of boldness and strength to do bad things

My elder brother once said that doing bad is costly. It takes lots of calculations and effort and funny enough..sooner or later, you will get caught...so why the stress.lol
Doing good is easy and grants us peace of mind

Your brother was right. The only advantage of doing bad is the temporary luxury, which itself isn't an advantage

Interesting point of view. So, in large part, it's the fact that we're afraid of being rejected by our society that stops us from doing bad things.
