DEALING WITH ANGER
Anger is a complex and multi faced experience that plays a crucial role in the human life. It is a natural response to perceived threat, frustration and can be seen in different forms. Anger is a powerful and strong emotion which can have far reaching effect on an individual and when left unchecked and uncontrolled can lead to a series of negative consequences affecting every aspect of an individual physical, emotional and mental well being.
Physically anger can lead to an increase in high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease and intense headache. Having anger as a quality of a human being is a very dangerous trait to have as it can lead to reckless behaviors such as substance abuse or aggressive driving which can have some devastating effects. People who experience anger often go through emotional feelings of resentment, bitterness and cause an individual to be isolated and making it difficult for him or she to experience emotions such as joy and happiness. The effects of anger on an individual life can never be overemphasized and it is essential to recognize the signs early enough and take proactive steps in controlling and managing it. Some steps taken to control anger are:
SELF AWARENESS
It is important to note that an angry person will often show signs, symptoms and sometimes self awareness is the first step, recognizing the physical and emotional signs of anger and identifying triggers. Anger is normal, it happens on a daily Basis and as humans everyone has experience anger it is part of life where to just have to overcome and to prevent outbreak of rage and anger one must have a self awareness of anger.
There was a time in my life when I felt angry once, it was as if I could just be able to beat the person, nevertheless I was able to control it. anger makes you do things which you may regret later in life, uncontrolled anger is never a good one and i advice people who has this trait to devoid from it. When an individual is angry he or she may exhibit verbal aggression such as yelling, screaming, or the use of derogatory language. The outburst is as a result of hurtful emotions and can often lead to damaging reputation and hurtful comments. Angry individual usually struggle with self control, leading to impulsive decisions. they sometimes blame others for their own mistakes, becoming defensive and argumentative when asked questions.
Non verbal cues, such as tightened fist, eye staring and avoidance if eye contact also portrait characteristics of an angry person and these physical expression can just be as impactful as the non verbal expression but nevertheless these outburst are seen as an uncomfortable atmosphere and straining interaction.
In conclusion, remember that anger is a emotional disturbing reaction and may take some time to get over it, but with patience, self awareness and support individuals with this emotion can overcome it's dangers attached to it and live a life free of It's destructive grip
