Departed so early/Weekend-Engagement Week 251

Greetings hive and weekend experience community is another weekend and to respond to the question have you ever lost a friend. Explain what happened and why but before i go ahead i must say thank you to @galenkp for this opportunity given to us

If you have ever lost a friend so dear to you will understand what i went through as a child loosing Chidinma my friend at that premature age and what do i mean we were separated by death unannounced no sickness you this type was a very painful one Chidinma was my childhood friend we attended the same church, primary school we played together go to stream together and most times we saw on the way to farm and will play and discuss to farm while her mum and mine will be coming at the back

Why and what really happened was that she was the only girl among her siblings this made her mum cried so much during her death oh her only girl child and it was a painful one very brilliant child she can answer questions even in the church well after primary six we were so excited as big girls going into secondary school with bigger explanation of what we will become but Chidinma ended on the way just few weeks to resume first term in secondary school as i was getting my things ready to join her in the same school

But unfortunately for her that very day the cold hands of death caught her on the way back from school and took her life by accident

There's this good Samaritan man from my home town who gave helping hand carrying children to school while going to work in the morning with his open van we called that type of car pick up then so after school closed these children will gather at a point to wait for the man to bring them back home to our interior village since the school is located in the town but on their way coming back the car fail break and she was the only one that died as she jumped out of the car but others sustained injury and the whole village was thrown into trauma i never believed it until she was buried

It took me time to get out of the trauma i felt something left me then i was always afraid that period that was my first time to feel such is really sad to loose someone so dear i have to leave my village for a while before i could get over it but each time i remember her feel pained that Chidinma did not fulfill her dream and her mum never had another daughter have you ever lost something irreplaceable how do you feel so pained isn't it this is how her mum has been since that day even as i write this am so moody Chidinma may your soul continue to be at rest till the days

Thank you for reading my post see you on my next post

Your pain can be felt in your words. Losing a close friend, especially young, is a pain that one cannot describe. Your childhood friend shared memories, and the dreams you had together make her loss even heavier. It teaches you how fragile life can be. May she continue to rest in peace. May her memory continue to live in your heart. Thank you for sharing a beautiful, touching story. Sending you love and warmth.
