Character Portraits that tell stories
Greetings to all gamers in the community. For me it is a pleasure to be participating again in the Gaming Photography Weekly Contest that this time has as theme the Character Portraits. This theme seems to me something curious considering that in the games we can find both very expressive characters and some not expressive at all.
And since we are talking about portraits and expressions, I wonder: is it possible to tell a story that happens in a gameplay using only portraits of the characters involved? I think so, and if you allow me, my participation in the weekly contest will be telling a part of my progress in Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. For this I will use character portraits to try to convey the impact of my actions in the game and the stories their portraits tell.
The story continues with a meeting where from the mouth of Grand Master Torres I learn that the Templars are looking for an artifact called the Observatory which allows them to know the location of any person at any time. This artifact would be possible to find it thanks to the plans that I had brought them.
There were different emotions on the faces of the participants of the meeting. There was a face of disbelief because it was well known to all that the observatory was a children's story. There was also one who was suspicious, because in case the observatory was real, the blood of a wise man was needed, and one had not appeared for a very long time. But Governor Torres, with an airy smile, explained that the sage had already been captured and that the crystal-shaped artifact I had brought was the vessel needed to reach the sage's blood.
So it was that, after a toast, we agreed to meet near the docks where the sage was being held.
The next morning I was on my way to the docks in the company of one of the Templars when I ran into Bonnet, who inadvertently called me by name. Luckily, I told the Templar that I had given a false name to the merchant who had brought me so that I could enter the city incognito. Poor Bonnet, look at that innocent face that almost caused my death.
When I get to the docks I learn that the wise man is Bartholomew Roberts and I could tell by his face that he had not come on good terms. I think if they had kept hitting him, he might not have made it alive.
After obtaining the sage's blood, the Templar Julien du Casse suggests that we take him to the governor's mansion, but after an altercation with the assassins, the sage tries to escape. To his misfortune, it fell to me to capture him and after giving him a beating, I brought him back.
For my services, Governor Torres rewarded me with a bag of money, which was really very little considering all I had done for them. So it was that after a heated conversation with Bonnet and between drinks and moonshine, I decide to infiltrate the governor's mansion to talk to the sage. Unfortunately, someone had beaten me to it and taken the sage away, which caused the Templars to think it was me, and they imprisoned me.
While I was imprisoned I met Adéwalé on a ship bound for Spain. We were both able to escape and steal a ship together, but for this I had to go through the heights from one ship to another to go freeing prisoners, because a bow does not sail alone. Adéwalé agreed to serve as deck officer and it seems that from now on he will accompany me in my maritime adventures.
The escape was not easy as we were being chased by the Indian lota and the sea was very rough due to the proximity of a hurricane. Luckily we were able to get away unharmed and most importantly I had a ship to captain.
When all was calm, I checked the status of the ship and talked with Adéwalé about the future plans for this vessel and her crew. These plans will be revealed soon in further publications, so stay tuned for updates.

Looking at the images you share in your post I realize that video game characters can become very expressive if we look at their faces. Very good initiative from the community and good luck in the contest 👍.
I'm glad to hear that you liked it. Maybe you can take advantage and join the community to participate in the initiatives.
Dude, you have a part of the publication in Spanish, please edit it so I can take you as a contest participant.
There, it seems that it didn't save when I was translating it. Thank you very much for the warning.
