LOH Community Contest #196 ~ Only At A Gunpoint
So, the prompt says;
What environment do you prefer, mountains or oceans? And why?
So, I saw the first question of this week's ladiesofhive prompt question and I have been giggling thinking about myself in any of the environment and that is why I just couldn't wait to write about my thoughts here.
Hello 👋 everyone, blessed work week to everyone, and happy new month in advance.

A few years back, we had a church program that took me out of the state to another state and while we were there, we were asked to go for a tour around the environment and get to see a few things we'd only heard about and after we were done, the last place they took us to look at was a big river, which convenes many people from that state/LGA into another state/LGA, and immediately I saw this big body water from afar, I was transfixed and I could fill my body shaking.
The water was so big and I watched people traveling happily through that water and coming back from their respective workplaces through that water. We even saw some people going for a wedding using that same route and we were told that was the only means of transportation they got to reach their destination and that everybody leaving the state/LGA had to use that water as it was their only option.
I was literally shaking and almost peed on my pants, I was already sweating and almost having an episode in front of everyone, at first, they thought I was joking but when they noticed that I was still afar and was looking for a way to head home, one of our tour guide/senior had to come stand by my side and keep me company since I had refused to go near the water and refused to continue the tour but head back to our resting abode.
Since then, many of my friends who witnessed that episode of me and big-body water, never talked about going out to have fun near a big body of water because they knew I wouldn't buy the idea and never interested, but they could go without me if they wished. Whenever I am in the midst of people who do not know me talking about visiting big bodies of water, I tell them I won't be available for such because I am Aquaphobia and what is the essence of being there when you can not enjoy the serenity of that place.

You would think that since I am afraid of big bodies of water, I should then be comfortable in a mountain environment or prefer the mountain environment, well, you are right about that but the truth is that is a BIG FAT LIE. I am Acrophobia, and so, it's never going to work for me either.
I watch those who do the high jump, the sightseeing, and climbing ropes or walking through a constructed light stuff to cross a bridge and I wonder how they have the nerve to do that because I am very sure I would have died even before I got to the place. Phew, I am never going to be a part of that either.
How do I tell you all that I am afraid of the mountain wouldn't tell you that I am afraid of heights? And how do I tell you that I am afraid of big body water and only do water inside a bucket, sachet, bottle, and cup anything bigger than that that requires me getting into freaks me out.
I just have been imagining myself in any of those two environments and I have concluded that there is no way I would prefer any of those two. I am not sure I am ever going to prefer the mountain to the oceans or the oceans to the mountain except AT GUNPOINT.
This is my entry to this week's Ladies of Hive Community Contest #196

Lol, I can understand you well because I am also acrophobic and I am afraid of big bodies of water 🤣.
Even at gun point, I would not date each of the environment.
a community encouraging first-hand content, and each individual living their best life.
This was quite the experience and I didn't think it was possible not to love ocean or mountains 😁 lol
BUT... I hear what you say and I understand after seing things from your prespective that it is.
And you have some good pointers there.
Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful week. 🌷
