I believe you just might be right. I have never viewed the rain as a bad thing. It rains here most of the winter, so beginning in the fall (October or earlier and sometimes into June) and often lasting into summer, we get rain. Not torrential downpours, but often misty type. I know lots of people who absolutely hate it, lol! So maybe as you say, it is because they relate it to a certain time or emotional response in their life.

I think it's awesome that you go out and play in it! Why not? Especially if it's been unbearably hot!
