🌼 Ladies of Hive Contest #183: Stories behind the photos and funny names [ES/EN]

¡Hola queridas Damas de Hive! Espero que se encuentren todas muy bien. En el día de hoy me encuentran por acá para participar del concurso semanal, esta vez con una propuesta creativa.

¿Cuál fue la última foto que tomaste? ¡Compártelo con nosotros y cuenta la historia detrás de esto!

Esta es la última foto que tomé, que de hecho la tomó mi amiga con mi teléfono. Él sábado pasado fuimos a la Feria Internacional del Libro de Buenos Aires que se celebra todos los años en la misma época, desde fines de abril hasta principio de mayo. Estuvimos recorriendo los pasillos de la feria, viendo libros y algunas ofertas interesantes, ya que últimamente está muy caro comprar libros en mi país. De todos modos, ir a la feria del libro no es solo comprar libros, ya que cada stand de las distintas editoriales y librerías que participan se esmeran cada año por embellecerlo. Además, también nos encontramos con charlas interesantes con autores y firmas de libros que nos acercan a ellos.

Ahí donde nos sacamos la foto era un bello stand donde se podía ver la decoración de un árbol de cerezos con un letrero luminoso que tenía la palabra "paz", la idea era sacarnos la foto y que se vea la palabra, pero salió muy luminosa y no se nota, bueno la intención estuvo. Y, por supuesto, pasamos un día muy lindo y divertido. Por acá les dejo una captura de pantalla de la galería de mi teléfono, para que vean que de verdad fue la última foto que tomé y de paso vean que todas son de ese día. No les comparto más porque quiero hacer otros post dedicados a esto, además de que iré más días para terminar de recorrer bien todo.

¿Cuál es el nombre real más divertido que has oído que tenga alguien?

Estoy segura de que escuche muchos nombres graciosos a lo largo de mi vida, pero ahora no se me viene ninguno a la mente. En su lugar me encantaría compartirles el nombre gracioso que podría haber tenido yo cuando nací. Resulta que cuando nací toda mi familia tenía ganas de ponerme nombre y como no se decidían lo sometieron a un sorteo, incluso participó mi hermano que en ese momento tenía tan solo 6 años y quería que me llamara Pitufina. Mi mamá rogaba que no saliera ese nombre y, después de enterarme de esto hace un tiempo, yo también debí haber estado rogando jajaja. Pero la suerte estuvo de mi lado y salió el mejor nombre, el que quería ponerme mi hermano mayor. Acá estoy, soy Erika.

Hello dear ladies of Hive! I hope you are all feeling well. Today you can find me here to participate in the weekly contest, this time with a creative proposal.

What was the last photo you took? Share it with us and tell the story behind it!

This is the last picture I took, which was actually taken by my friend with my phone. Last Saturday we went to the International Book Fair in Buenos Aires, which is held every year at the same time, from the end of April to the beginning of May. We were walking the aisles of the fair, looking at books and some interesting offers, since lately it is very expensive to buy books in my country. Anyway, going to the book fair is not only about buying books, as each stand of the different publishers and bookstores that participate take great care every year to embellish it. In addition, we also find interesting talks with authors and book signings that bring us closer to them.

There where we took our picture was a beautiful stand where you could see the decoration of a cherry tree with a luminous sign with the word “peace”, the idea was to take our picture and show the word, but it came out very bright and you can't see it, but the intention was there. And, of course, we had a very nice and fun day. Here is a screenshot from my phone's gallery, so you can see that it really was the last picture I took and see that they are all from that day. I won't share more because I want to do other posts dedicated to this, besides I will go more days to finish touring everything.

What’s the funniest actual name you’ve heard of someone having?

I'm sure I've heard a lot of funny names throughout my life, but none come to mind now. Instead I would love to share with you the funny name I could have had when I was born. It turns out that when I was born my whole family wanted to name me and since they couldn't make up their minds they submitted it to a raffle, even my brother who was only 6 years old at the time and wanted me to be called Smurfette. My mom was begging for that name not to come out and, after finding out about this some time ago, I should have been begging too hahaha. But luck was on my side and the best name came out, the one my older brother wanted to give me. Here I am, I'm Erika.
