🌷 Ladies of Hive Contest #184: Role of women in society and memories of my mother [ES/EN]

¡Hola queridas Damas de Hive! Espero que se encuentren todas muy bien. Arrancó una nueva semana y en esta ocasión tenemos 3 preguntas que nos invitan a reflexionar sobre la maternidad, el rol actual de la mujer en la sociedad y nuestras madres. En esta oportunidad me centraré en las dos últimas, ya que no soy madre todavía como para responder a la primera. Bueno, sin más preámbulos, empecemos.

¿Crees que la mujer tiene hoy un papel muy claro en la sociedad? Si es así, ¿cuál es ese papel?

No sé si lo llamaría tener un papel muy claro en la sociedad, pero sí creo que se acerca bastante a lo que pensamos cuando hablamos de la mujer. Siento que tenemos el rol de las que resuelven, de esto se habla mucho hoy en día y ya a lo largo de los años la mujer era la encargada de ocuparse de los temas hogareños, el cuidado del hogar y la crianza de los hijos. Hoy en día tenemos más objetivos, nos logramos meter en la educación, podemos acceder a ella y formarnos como profesionales, somos empresarias, influyentes e importantes para el funcionamiento de la sociedad. Sin embargo, seguimos ocupándonos de los labores hogareños, así que nuestros trabajos profesionales y/o emprendimientos se suman a esto. En otras palabras, seguimos siendo las que resuelven, lo único que cambió es que tenemos mucho más trabajo por delante. Con esto no quiero decir que los hombres no se ocupen de resolver cuestiones del hogar y del cuidado de los hijos, esto también fue evolucionando para bien. Pero todavía le falta bastante y seguimos siendo nosotras las que tenemos que ocuparnos de todo y si queremos ser profesionales también debemos tener esto presente. Lo importante es que siento que ganamos un montón y espero que sigamos por este camino.

¿Cuál es tu recuerdo favorito de tu mamá? (¡o alguien que desempeñó ese papel en tu vida!)

Siempre que hay una pregunta referente a las madres destacó lo unida que estoy a la mía, así que tengo muchos recuerdos hermosos con ella, puedo dar gracias a Dios por ellos. Es bastante difícil destacar uno solo, ya que hay de todo tipo, desde permitirme dormir con ella cuenta era pequeña y tenía miedo o las veces que me acompañó a lugares a los que quería asistir, como reuniones de fans de libros en mi adolescencia, además de las salidas al cine o todas las veces que se levantó temprano para hacerme el desayuno y acompañarme a tomar el transporte para ir a la Universidad. La verdad es que lo más importante que tengo para destacar es su constante apoyo en todo lo que emprendo en mi vida. Eso es todo lo que necesito, esa clase de amor que solo una madre sabe dar.

Hello dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you are all feeling well. A new week has started and this time we have 3 questions that invite us to reflect on motherhood, the current role of women in society and our mothers. This time I will focus on the last two, since I am not a mother yet to answer the first one. Well, without further ado, let's get started.

Do you believe that women have a very clear role today in society? If so, what is that role?

I don't know if I would call it having a very clear role in society, but I do think it is very close to what we think when we talk about women. I feel that we have the role of those who solve, this is something we talk a lot about nowadays, and throughout the years women have been in charge of taking care of household issues, taking care of the home and raising children. Today we have more objectives, we are able to get into education, we can access it and train as professionals, we are entrepreneurs, influential and important for the functioning of society. However, we continue to take care of household chores, so our professional jobs and / or businesses are added to this. In other words, we are still the solvers, the only thing that has changed is that we have much more work ahead of us. By this I do not mean that men do not take care of household and childcare issues, this has also evolved for the better. But there is still a long way to go and we are still the ones who have to take care of everything and if we want to be professionals we must also keep this in mind. The important thing is that I feel we have gained a lot and I hope we continue on this path.

What is your favorite memory of your mom? (or someone that acted as that role in your life!)

Whenever there is a question regarding mothers I always highlight how close I am to mine, so I have many beautiful memories with her, I can thank God for them. It is quite difficult to highlight just one, since there are all kinds, from allowing me to sleep with her when I was little and I was afraid or the times she accompanied me to places I wanted to attend, such as book fan meetings in my adolescence, in addition to the trips to the movies or all the times she got up early to make me breakfast and accompany me to take the transportation to go to the University. The truth is that the most important thing I have to highlight is his constant support in everything I undertake in my life. That is all I need, that kind of love that only a mother knows how to give.
