A big hug for all the women who fight for their daily empowerment and for their comprehensive independence.

Once again, I am in the community to participate in an initiative in which I can contribute and contribute to those women who are in the same condition as me and do not achieve full health.

Those who have read me know that I am a retired woman. I have been in this condition for more than a year and I have gone from fear of what could happen due to not being in constant exchange with my colleagues, to accepting retirement and I have learned to love it and assume it with total responsibility.

And, despite my state of health, which is sometimes not as positive as I would like, I try to maintain healthy habits that allow me to have a fuller existence that translates into a better quality of life.

How do I keep my health in shape?

Here I share my 7 routines to achieve it. I must clarify that I have been adapting them to my condition and, I do not always do them all, but, in general, they are responsible for maintaining my health in the best possible way.

· Daily 45-minute walk: I maintain this daily and it is the one that brings me the most benefit, because it is useful to what is necessary, well, I walk, I gain health and I find out about the necessary things that I should buy. I must say that I have the circuit in my memory and this allows me to measure the times, to comply with the daily time planning.

· Dance therapy: I have recorded a video of a group of people doing a variety of physical exercises, but using music and dance as essential means. I do this exercise before going to bathe and it is one of my favorites because dancing is my favorite physical activity and music is one of my passions.

· Travel to the beach: If I can't go every weekend, I try to go twice a month. On the beach, in addition to what I like, I walk on the sand and this strengthens my legs and muscles and favors my locomotion.

· Do physical exercises: It may seem repetitive, but it is not. These exercises are aimed at lowering fat and strengthening the abdomen, strengthening the glutes, arms and the entire organ system of my body. Furthermore, before making them, I always seek the opinion of a Physical Education teacher to guide me on the quantities to make.

· Avoid activities that cause stress: There is no point in exercising our body if we do activities that we do not like or that cause us stress. I try not to watch a lot of news about wars, natural disasters and other news that depresses me. I avoid sterile discussions nor am I in places that I don't feel comfortable or that don't entertain me.

· Exercise my brain: This is vital and is related to the habits before and after this. In my case, I read a lot, I write a lot because, as a Spanish and Literature teacher, it was a necessary habit that I cultivated. But, I also have games on my phone that exercise my brain and keep it active like word searches, sudoku and others that have that objective.

· Do activities that relax me, that I like and that give me pleasure: Going to a musical concert, a party, birthday, being with my friends and family, enjoying a play are some of the activities that I do and they allow me to stay happy and healthy.

These habits have been essential to maintaining my health.

I hope to read to you, to incorporate others into these routines and, hopefully, these will help you maintain yours.

Un fuerte abrazo para todas las mujeres que luchan por su empoderamiento cotidiano y por su independencia integral.

Nuevamente, estoy en la comunidad para participar en una iniciativa en la que puedo aportar y contribuir con aquellas mujeres que están en mi misma condición y no logran una salud plena.

Las que me han leído saben que soy una mujer jubilada. En esta condición llevo más de un año y he pasado del miedo a lo que podría pasar por no estar en el constante intercambio con mis compañeros, a la aceptación de la jubilación y he aprendido a amarla y asumirla con total responsabilidad.

Y, a pesar de mi estado de salud que, en ocasiones, no es todo lo positiva que quisiera, intento mantener hábitos saludables que me permiten tener una existencia más plena que se traduce en mejor calidad de vida.

¿Cómo logro mantener mi estado de salud en forma?

Aquí les comparto mis 7 rutinas para lograrlo. Debo aclarar que la he ido adaptando a mi condición y, no siempre las hago todas, pero, en general, son las responsables de mantener mi salud de la mejor manera posible

· Caminata diaria de 45 minutos: Esta la mantengo a diario y es de la que más beneficio me causa, porque uno lo útil a lo necesario, pues, camino, gano salud y me entero de las cosas necesarias que debo comprar. Debo decir que tengo el circuito en mi memoria y esto me permite medir los tiempos, para cumplir con la planificación diaria del tiempo.

· Bailoterapia: Tengo grabado un video de un grupo de personas que hacen una variedad de ejercicios físicos, pero, utilizando la música y el baile como vías esenciales. Este ejercicio lo hago antes de ir a bañarme y es de mis favoritos porque el baile es mi actividad física preferida y la música es una de mis pasiones.

· Viajar a la playa: Si no puedo ir todos los fines de semana, trato de ir dos veces al mes. En la playa, además de lo que me gusta, camino por la arena y esto fortalece mis piernas y mis músculos y favorece mi locomoción.

· Hacer ejercicios físicos: Puede parecer repetitivo, pero no lo es. Estos ejercicios están dirigidos a bajar las grasas y fortalecer el abdomen, fortalecer los glúteos, brazos y todo el sistema de órganos de mi cuerpo. Además, antes de hacerlos, siempre busco la opinión de un profesor de Educación Física para que me oriente las cantidades a realizar.

· Evitar actividades que me provoquen estrés: De nada vale que ejercitemos nuestro cuerpo si realizamos actividades que no nos gustan o nos provocan estrés. Intento no ver muchas noticias de guerras, desastres naturales y otras que me depriman. Evito discusiones estériles ni estoy en lugares que no me sienta cómoda o no me diviertan.

· Ejercitar mi cerebro: Esto es vital y tiene relación con los hábitos anterior y posterior a este. En mi caso, leo mucho, escribo bastante porque, como profesora de Español y Literatura, fue un hábito necesario que cultivé. Pero, también tengo juegos en el teléfono que ejercitan mi cerebro y lo mantienen activo como las sopas de letras, sudoku y otros que tienen ese objetivo.

· Realizar actividades que me relajen, me gusten y me den placer: Ir a un concierto musical, una fiesta, cumpleaños, estar con mis amistades y familiares, disfrutar de una obra de teatro son de las actividades que hago y me permiten mantenerme alegre y saludable.

Estos hábitos han sido esenciales para mantener mi salud.

With these activities, you won't worry too much about being a retired woman. I especially like your dancing habit. I guess that's the best way to forget negativities when you feel stressed or lonely. hehe.

Dancing is my favorite activity and one of the things that gives me the most joy.
