Enjoying the sushi master for the second time in Medellín [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos, espero que sus dias esten yendo de maravilla. Hoy paso por aquí para contarles acerca de una experiencia que se disfruta anualmente en Colombia. Una experiencia que me llena de mucha alegría y que cada vez que llega pienso inmediatamente en que debo asistir. Si, así es, se trata del sushi master. Un gran evento en el que disfrutas de un rollo creado por cada restaurante participante y que cuesta 18.000 pesos en cada uno de ellos. Es decír, el precio no va a variar por restaurante, lo que va a variar son los ingredientes que hará que sea delicioso, llamativo y que gane el concurso de acuerdo a la elección de los clientes.

Hello everyone, I hope your days are going great. Today I am stopping by to tell you about an experience that is enjoyed every year in Colombia. An experience that fills me with great joy and that every time it arrives I immediately think that I must attend. Yes, that's right, it is the sushi master. A great event in which you enjoy a roll created by each participating restaurant and that costs 18,000 pesos in each one of them. That is to say, the price will not vary per restaurant, what will vary are the ingredients that will make it delicious, eye-catching and that will win the contest according to the choice of customers.

Una vez que nos enteramos que empezaría el sushi master, decidimos ir a nuestro local favorito de sushi y este es Sushi Light. Nosotros disfrutamos mucho ir a este restaurante no solo por su sabor sino también por su precio pues es accesible a comparación de otros locales. Nosotros fuimos a la sede ubicada en el centro comercial Santa Fé, aquí en Medellín. Si me preguntan por el rollo participante su nombre es kraken y trae por dentro camarón apanado, aguacate y queso crema. Por fuera kanikama, calamar, salsa picante, mayonesa japonesa de maní flameada y salsa anguila lo cual es una experiencia de sabores espectacular.

Once we found out that the sushi master would start, we decided to go to our favorite sushi place and this is Sushi Light. We really enjoyed going to this restaurant not only for its taste but also for its price because it is affordable compared to other places. We went to the location located in the Santa Fe shopping center here in Medellin. If you ask me about the participating roll, its name is kraken and it has breaded shrimp, avocado and cream cheese on the inside. On the outside kanikama, squid, spicy sauce, Japanese flamed peanut mayonnaise and eel sauce which is a spectacular experience of flavors.

Una vez llegamos, tuvimos que hacer fila puesto que cuando se hacen este tipo de eventos los locales se llenan, sin embargo, no tuvimos que esperar mucho para tomar una mesa. Al sentarnos, la chica nos preguntó si veniamos a probar el plato participante del concurso o algo especial de la carta pero por supuesto que veniamos por el kraken. Si observan más abajo, un rollo podría no ser suficiente para una persona por lo que pedimos 3 para compartir entre José y yo y para acompañar la comida, unas deliciosas limonadas de hierbabuena que son nuestras favforitas aquí.

Once we arrived, we had to wait in line since when these types of events are held, the places get crowded, however, we did not have to wait long to get a table. As we sat down, the girl asked us if we were coming to try the dish participating in the contest or something special from the menu but of course we were coming for the kraken. If you look below, one roll might not be enough for one person so we ordered 3 to share between Jose and I and to accompany the meal, some delicious mint lemonades which are our favforitas here.

Asi lucía nuestra comida, me encantaba el toque flameado que le daba un sabor apanelado a la salsa. Todo estuvo delicioso desde las bebidas, los rollos hasta la atención. Definitivamente esto es un evento que no se puede perder. Sé que también hacen concurso de pizza master y sushi master por el mismo precio o similar y como dije anteriormente, cada restaurante tiene sus ingredientes diferentes y esto depende de la combinación de sabores es lo que le hará ser el ganador del tan esperado concurso por la gente colombiana y por los que somos de afuera también jajaja.

That's what our food looked like, I loved the flamed touch that gave the sauce a honeyed flavor. Everything was delicious from the drinks, the rolls to the service. This is definitely an event not to be missed. I know they also have a pizza master and sushi master contest for the same price or similar and as I said before, each restaurant has different ingredients and this depends on the combination of flavors is what will make you the winner of the long awaited contest for the Colombian people and for those of us who are from abroad too hahaha.

Y para terminar, decidimos ir por unos helados en crepes & waffles porque sus barquillas allí son buenisimas. Yo amo el helado de pistacho y roché aquí. Si me preguntan, votaría por Sushilight restaurante una y mil veces porque sus ingredientes son de calidad y su sabor también. La mezcla de sabores de este rollo lo puede hacer ganador. La pasamos increible. Lo mejor de todo es que encuentras varias sedes en diferentes partes de Medellín. Esto fué todo por hoy, espero que les haya gustado. Nos leemos en un próximo post. Un abrazo

And to finish, we decided to go for some ice cream at crepes & waffles because their ice cream bars there are so good. I love the pistachio and roché ice cream here. If you ask me, I would vote for Sushilight restaurant a thousand times because their ingredients are quality and so is their taste. The mix of flavors in this roll can make it a winner. We had an incredible time. The best of all is that you can find several locations in different parts of Medellin. That was all for today, I hope you liked it. See you in a future post. Best regards
