A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words: Dragon (ENG-ESP)

I see a talented fire thrower practicing to put on a great show. I feel he has a lot of internal battles.

A famous fire spearman, whom everyone called Dragon, was preparing to put on a big show in the evening. Since he was sixteen years old, he had practiced devouring and expelling fire from his mouth, a challenge he set himself to overcome his fears. At first, he struggled to develop his current skill with fire; for the mucous membrane of his mouth and lips were constantly burning and it looked as if he had wall-to-wall herpes sores. At times, he had so many sores that it was impossible for him to close his mouth properly. However, he learned how to master the pain, ignoring it completely and concentrating on his goal. Until many years later, he became a genius fire-spitter, getting people to believe that he really was a dragon.

The cloud of flames coming from his mouth as he practiced became more and more prominent, dancing in front of him as if they were about to give life to a great fire. The light illuminated his face, revealing his dogged determination. It was not a mere fire to him, but a part of his being and voice. Every spark in the air was a note of the song of his life, a melody that spoke of passion, risk and fragility.

—Invincible fire warrior, Dragon—he seemed to hear the fire say in his mind in a flaming whisper.

Silence echoed in the place, but in Dragon's mind, the fire chattered and reminded him of the nights he had fought his own demons.

—You cannot control me, you can only fear me— the voice of fire said again.

A shiver ran down her spine, but she was undeterred. With newfound determination, he shot flames higher and brighter, turning his fear into strength.

Each time the flames danced, it was as if they told the story of Dragon, a man who had learned to transform pain into art and who challenged himself, reminding himself that, though fire is a terrible adversary, it can also be a companion in life.

With his heart pounding with excitement, Dragon kept practicing to deliver a great performance into the night, letting the flames speak for him, a dramatic song of light and heat that illuminates not only his exterior, but also his soul.

A veces, tenía tantas

Nice to hear a person's inert talent and involvement in what he is committing to. It is rare to find such peoples today.
