| В сентябре 2020 г. я почти целый день гуляла в Московском зоопарке. Фотографировать птиц в зоопарке, если они не в большом вольере, как правило бывает неудобно. Но иногда удаётся подойти близко к клетке и придвинуть объектив к ячейке решётки. | In September 2020, I spent almost the whole day walking at the Moscow Zoo. Photographing birds in a zoo, unless they are in a large enclosure, is usually inconvenient. But sometimes you manage to get close to the cage and move the lens to the grid cell. |
| Так у меня получилась пара кадров длиннохвостой неясыти. Совообразные мне нравятся – красивые эффектные птицы. Длиннохвостая неясыть – одна из самых крупных неясытей. | So I got a couple of shots of the Ural owl. I like owls - beautiful, showy birds. The Ural owl is one of the largest owls. |
| На этой фотографии отлично видна одна из удивительных способностей совообразных – поворачивать голову на очень большой угол. Здесь она развернула голову на 180 градусов, но может и на 270 и даже, как установили учёные – на 360 градусов. Ну, на 360 на практике они не вертят, хотя теоретически могут, а на 270 – пользуются. | This photo clearly shows one of the amazing abilities of owls - to turn their heads at a very large angle. Here she turned her head 180 degrees, but they may 270 and even, as scientists have established, 360 degrees. Well, in practice they don’t rotate it at 360, although theoretically they can, but they use it at 270. |

| Длиннохвостая неясыть также называется уральской неясытьью (лат. Strix uralensis), так как была открыта на Урале. Почему прижилось название длиннохвостая тоже понятно и наглядно видно на фотографии, хвост у неё 30см и он выступает из-под сложенных крыльев, когда птица сидит. | This owl is called the Ural owl (lat. Strix uralensis), as it was discovered in the Urals. In Russia this bird is called the long-tailed owl. And this is also clear and can be clearly seen in the photograph; its tail is 30 cm long and it protrudes from under the folded wings when the bird sits. |

Их 4-х живущих на данный момент в Московском зоопарке длиннохвостых неясытей, две родились в зоопарке. | Tawny owls feel comfortable at the Moscow Zoo. This is confirmed by the fact that birds reproduce. There are 4 Ural Owls currently living in the Moscow Zoo, two were born in the Zoo. |
| В ежедневный рацион в зоопарке для неясыти входит 2-3 мыши, а в холода – до 6 мышей. | The daily diet at the zoo for the owl includes 2-3 mice, and in cold weather - up to 6 mice. |
| Я сфотографировала также стенд с информацией в зоопарке об этих замечательных птицах. | I also photographed the information stand at the zoo about these wonderful birds. |
