| Эти фотографии я сделала 27 ноября 2022 года. Мы с подругой возвращались с концерта в Доме архитекторов. Был ещё не поздний вечер, но в ноябре темнеет рано. Поэтому мы могли оценить подсветку московских улиц. | I took these photos on November 27, 2022. My friend and I were returning from a concert at the House of Architects. It was not yet late in the evening, but in November it gets dark early. Therefore, we could appreciate the illumination of Moscow streets. |

| Конечно, доминантой, когда идёшь в этом направлении, выступает красивый Храм Вознесения Господня у Никитских ворот («Большое Вознесение»). | Of course, the dominant feature when you go in this direction is the beautiful Temple of the Ascension of the Lord at the Nikitsky Gates (“Great Ascension”). |

| Начинали его строить по проекту Матвея Казакова в 1798г. Дорабатывали позже другие архитекторы. В 1830 году Осип Бове добавил ионические портики на северном и южном фасадах. Закончили строительство в 1848 г. | They began to build it according to the project of Matvey Kazakov in 1798. Later, other architects finalized it. In 1830, Osip Bove added Ionic porticos on the north and south facades. Finished building in 1848. |
| Этот храм многое повидал и красивого и печального. Здесь венчались Александр Пушкин и Наталья Гончарова. Здесь отпевали великих русских артистов Михаила Щепкина, Марию Ермолову. В 1917г здесь отпевали юнкеров и офицеров, убитых во время кровопролитных октябрьских боёв в Москве. | This temple has seen a lot, both beautiful and sad. Alexander Pushkin and Natalya Goncharova got married here. Great Russian artists Mikhail Shchepkin and Maria Yermolova were buried here. In 1917, cadets and officers killed during the bloody October battles in Moscow were buried here. |
| Колокольню снесли в 1937 году. Она выглядела иначе, чем современная. Построили новую колокольню в 2004 году. Проект был разработан на на основе неосуществлённого в 19 веке проекта Фёдора Шестакова. Мне кажется, получилось очень гармонично. | The bell tower was demolished in 1937. She looked different than today. A new bell tower was built in 2004. The project was developed on the basis of Fyodor Shestakov's project, which was not implemented in the 19th century. It seems to me that it turned out very harmoniously. |
