| Эти фотографии я сделала 6 января 2025 года в Лопатинском саду Смоленска. Мы с подругой на новогодних каникулах отправились в 2-дневную поездку в Смоленск. Это была групповая экскурсия. Лопатинский сад – старинный парк Смоленска. | I took these photos on January 6, 2025, in Lopatinsky Garden in Smolensk. My friend and I went on a 2-day trip to Smolensk during the New Year holidays. It was a group excursion. Lopatinsky Garden is an old park in Smolensk. |
| Кроме достопримечательностей, которые нам показал экскурсовод, мы замечали и кое-что другое. Так наше внимание привлекла большая стая уток, которые спокойно расположились на заснеженном газоне, несмотря на мороз. | In addition to the sights that the guide showed us, we noticed something else. So our attention was drawn to a large flock of ducks that calmly settled on a snow-covered lawn, despite the frost. |

| В парке имелась незамерзающая часть пруда с фонтаном. Это важно для водоплавающих птиц. Мы видели издали много плавающих там уток. | The park had a non-freezing part of the pond with a fountain. This is important for waterfowl. We saw many ducks swimming there from afar. |

| Но утки не всё время проводят в воде. Множество птиц лежали на снегу, подобрав под живот лапки. | But the ducks do not spend all their time in the water. Many birds lay on the snow, tucking their paws under their bellies. |

| Птицы спокойно отдыхали, кто дремал, кто занимался гигиеной. | The birds were resting peacefully, some were dozing, some were busy with hygiene. |

| И вдруг в один момент, стая, крякая, поднялась и пошла по снегу в одну сторону. Довольно быстро всё разъяснилось. Несколько человек принесли для птиц корм и стали кидать его на снег. | And suddenly, at one point, the flock, quacking, rose and walked in one direction through the snow. Everything became clear pretty quickly. Several people brought food for the birds and began throwing it on the snow. |
| Еда-еда! Известие тут же передали друг другу все утки. | Food-food! The news was immediately passed on to each other by all the ducks. |

| Стая переместилась поближе к благодетелям. А нам пора уже было продолжать нашу экскурсию. | The flock moved closer to the benefactors. It was time for us to continue our excursion. |
