Всем привет!	Hello everyone!
Эти фотографии я сделала в новогодние дни: 30, 31 декабря 2010 и 1 января 2011г.	I took these photos on New Year's days: December 30, 31, 2010 and January 1, 2011.
2010 год был довольно странным и экстремальным с точки зрения погоды. Летом была нетипичная для нашего региона жара, вызвавшая пожары торфяников в Подмосковье и соседних областях. Города пару месяцев были затянуты дымом.	2010 was quite a strange and extreme year in terms of weather. In the summer there was heat that was atypical for our region, which caused fires in peat bogs in the Moscow region and neighboring regions. The cities were filled with smoke for a couple of months.
А в конце декабря была оттепель, сильные дожди и всё это пересеклось с резким снижением температуры. Я первый раз столкнулась с таким явлением, как ледяной дождь.	And at the end of December there was a thaw, heavy rains and all this intersected with a sharp drop in temperature. This was the first time I encountered such a phenomenon as freezing rain.
Мои окна выходят на лес. Деревья, покрытые ледяной коркой от замерзшего дождя согнулись под тяжестью.	My windows overlook the forest. Trees covered with an icy crust from frozen rain bent under the weight.

Вот так выглядели все веточки на всех деревьях.	This is what all the branches on all the trees looked like.
Да и всё вокруг было покрыто льдом. Машины нельзя было открыть. Кто-то пытался отскрести лед, кто-то поливал горячей водой.	And everything around was covered with ice. The cars could not be opened. Someone tried to scrape off the ice, someone poured hot water on it.

Пострадали и электрические провода во многих местах. Но меня это не коснулось. Зато прямо из окна я наблюдала за скрюченными деревьями.	Electrical wires were also damaged in many places. But this did not affect me. But right from the window I watched the twisted trees.
Те деревья, что были посильнее, устояли. Но очень многие не выдержали и упали.	Those trees that were stronger survived. But many could not stand it and fell.
1 января на обледенение ещё и снега присыпало.	On January 1, snow also poured onto the icy trees.
Кстати, вот эта ближайшая к окну берёза, которая загнулась дугой, пережила тот катаклизм. Сейчас дерево стоит прямое и красивое.	By the way, this birch tree closest to the window, which bent in an arc, survived that cataclysm. Now the tree stands straight and beautiful.
