Ladies of Hive Community Contest #193 Home repair project needed

Un saludo mi querida comunidad @ladiesofhive, esta vez la amiga @kerrislravenhill toca un excelente tema para el concurso comunitario semanal en la edición #193, con unas preguntas muy asertivas para mi, especialmente en lo que respecta a todo lo referente a reparación y arreglos de nuestra casa.

@kerrislravenhill plays an excellent topic for the weekly community quiz in issue #193, with some very assertive questions for me, especially regarding everything about repairing and fixing our home.

Me gustaría saber cómo usted ha tomado y llevado a cabo una reparación en el hogar o proyecto de actualización que usted está orgulloso.

Justamente en estos días me he visto muy afectada por filtraciones en el techo debido a la fuertes lluvias en mi ciudad en esta temporada, claro este proyecto de impermeabilización quedo pendiente desde el año pasado, lamentablemente nuestra situación económica nos pone a escoger las prioridades y ahorita en primera fila esta la alimentación y la salud, todo lo demás pasa a un segundo plano y no por ser menos importante, ya que este problema en el techo si no lo corrijo a tiempo puede debilitar la estructura y entonces el trabajo seria aun mas costoso.

Just these days I have been very affected by leaks in the roof due to heavy rains in my city this season, of course this waterproofing project was pending since last year, unfortunately our economic situation puts us to choose priorities and now in the first row is food and health, everything else takes a back seat and not because it is less important, because this problem in the roof if not corrected in time can weaken the structure and then the work would be even more expensive.

Sin embargo en estos días, contactamos a un albañil para que evaluara la situación y nos realizara un presupuesto del mismo. Nuestra mayor sorpresa y como siempre digo a nadie nunca le falta Dios, por eso nos coloco a este señor en nuestro camino. Resulta que el dispone del material como manto y asfalto liquido que justamente es lo que necesitamos para reparar el techo y eliminar la filtración. Pues bien, me imagino que al conocer nuestra necesidad y emergencia nos propuso pagar una inicial y el restante en varias cuotas, para mi esto fue una gran alegria, pues jamás pensé que en estos días pudiera realizar este arreglo y mucho menos de esa manera.

However, these days, we contacted a mason to evaluate the situation and give us an estimate. Our biggest surprise and as I always say nobody ever lacks God, that's why he put this man in our way. It turns out that he has the material such as mantle and liquid asphalt which is exactly what we need to repair the roof and eliminate the leak. Well, I imagine that knowing our need and emergency he proposed us to pay an initial payment and the rest in several installments, for me this was a great joy, because I never thought that in these days I could make this arrangement and much less in that way.

Aunque todavía esta en proceso la reparación, pero en definitiva ya es un hecho que voy a solucionar esta problema, incluso ya cancele la inicial del presupuesto. Como les mostré las fotos la parte interior del techo ya esta muy manchada precisamente por el agua y se ve bastante feo, sin embargo debe esperar terminar de impermeabilizar para después comprar las pinturas especiales para tapar este tipo de manchas y vuelva a lucir como antes. No se si se observa que este es el porche de mi casa y acostumbraba a sentarme con mi esposo en ese lugar a compartir una taza de café cada vez que llovía, casi que era una costumbre de ambos y desde hace algún tiempo no lo podíamos hacer. Aunque parezca algo insignificante pero anhelamos ese momento cuando no tengamos goteras en el techo para salir con rica taza de café a disfrutar ver la lluvia caer.

Although the repair is still in process, but it is definitely a fact that I am going to solve this problem, I even canceled the initial budget. As I showed you the pictures the inside of the roof is already very stained precisely because of the water and it looks pretty ugly, however it must wait to finish the waterproofing and then buy the special paints to cover this type of stains and look like before. I do not know if you notice that this is the porch of my house and I used to sit with my husband in that place to share a cup of coffee every time it rained, it was almost a habit of both of us and for some time we could not do it. Although it may seem something insignificant but we long for that moment when we do not have leaks in the roof to go out with a nice cup of coffee to enjoy watching the rain fall.
