The other day

I don't let ego take credit for what God did yet I never felt so alive because for today I would drop the ego. I'll scream like I'm mad, live vainly like a teen and cuddle ignorance like a child. The walls won't have ears, my thoughts won't linger because I'm already Jumping like on bale.

But before we continue, let me take you back to yesterday. I woke almost five as usual and took a joint, it's Saturday so going for a jog wasn't questionable. To be honest , fancy sneakers really make me uncomfortable yet I'm stuck in the middle of two generations where you just have to be validated by the society or be considered old fashioned and although that tag doesn't fuss me yet somethings are better left unsaid.

All I can remember is hitting the road only to find myself amongst hundreds of people chained to ourselves. I remember the lady mumbled how she got raped as her husband watched and their abductors had no shame about it instead they stabbed her husband consecutively to death.

We were in a warehouse. Almost empty except for a special room in the middle where a machine kept making this reverberating sound. The room had this panic stricken aura, maybe because of the sound it brought. We were all tagged with numbers and my number still scares me because I was number 107, the Next in line.

I got even more scared when I heard the sound from the special room, it wasn't just the engine reving because we all were aware of what was going on. when I resuscitated, According to the next victim, my face was splashed with powder yet I still couldn't remember how I got nabbed.

Soon, they took me inside the room and there I saw myself in the afterlife. My entire lifetime replayed through my eyes in seconds as my heartbeat almost tore my chest. "You won't believe you might have eaten someone from this process" the tallest man who seemed like the one in charge mocked, "Don't worry, or do you prefer I kill you first" he continues, pointing his gun at me.

I remember I couldn't utter a word because no matter how hard I tried, it already felt like I was dead. "We only have one life but sometimes we get another" for now I'll stop my story and sit on these red petals, I'm covered in blood and my left arm is almost off my body yet the continuation of this story will be for another day, Gracias!
