Hive at Tryst, IIT Delhi

Incredible Innovation, the energy level was at its peak, and the brightest minds were sitting under one roof!
We're talking about Tryst, IIT Delhi's annual technical fest, and this year Hive Blockchain had the incredible opportunity to be its co-title sponsor!

For three days straight, we were present in the heart of Asia's premier technological institute, sharing the power and potential of the Hive ecosystem with hundreds of bright minds.

Why IIT Delhi? Why Tryst?

Tryst is renowned for attracting some of the biggest names in tech, with past speakers including the legendary Bill Gates, Gavin Woods, Mark Zuckerberg and more. The collaboration with Tryst offered us a perfect platform to showcase Hive's unique capabilities and connect with the next generation of developers and entrepreneurs.

One of the highlights of the event was the Code Hive Hackathon. We challenged participants to build innovative applications on the Hive blockchain, and the results were truly impressive.

We witnessed projects that tackled real-world problems, from the New Hive Explorer to some interesting games and some really cool Infra Based Projects. The creativity was commendable at IIT Delhi.

We wanted to create an atmosphere of pure fun, a space where everyone could let loose and experience the Amazing Hive spirit firsthand!

And what better way to do that than with a classic dart game and a thrilling lucky draw?

Our dartboard became a center of attraction at the Tryst Fest. Students, Professors, Professionals and everybody else stepped up, their eyes fixed on the target, their hands steady (Okay - not so steady), aiming for the bullseye.

Our stall was filled with Laughter - "I haven't thrown darts in years!" exclaimed one professor, as he landed a near-perfect shot. "This is a great stress reliever!"

Students challenged each other to high-score showdowns while competing within themselves. "I'm going to beat your score!" one student declared, his voice filled with playful determination. "Just watch me!"

But the excitement didn't stop there. Our lucky draw was the ace of our Hive-Deck. We were also joined by Mr. Madhav Bhatia a well-renowned influencer with 120k+ followers to announce the lucky draw. Everyone was thrilled with the suspense that who was going to win?

"I never win anything!" one lucky student exclaimed, while claiming the prize. "This is amazing!"

The lucky draw wasn't just about the prizes; it was about the shared experience and a reminder that even in the world of cutting-edge technology, there's always room for a little bit of luck and a lot of laughter. And of course, Hive is a mix of both!

We heard from many participants that the stall was a break from their intense studies, and they appreciated the friendly and approachable environment that we created. They said it was a great way to learn about Hive in a relaxed and engaging way.

Our Main Goal? To interact with engaging games and share the knowledge of Hive with everyone. In just 3 days we shared the Core values and Tech of Hive with at least a thousand students.

We also had an opportunity to meet the Hive Community members who visited the event. A big thanks to @pravesh0 - a valuable member of Hive India who visited us. And of course, the man behind the scenes @blackheart1 who organized the whole event. A Big Gratitude to @valueplan and @guiltyparties for making this event happen.

Hive Met The Tiny Builders

The final day of Tryst was already pumped with the energy of innovation. But then, something truly magical happened. A group of students, their eyes wide with wonder, arrived from a local government school.

Imagine, children between the ages of 8 and 14, their small frames carrying the weight of big dreams, showcasing their remarkable robotic skills. No fancy labs, no expensive equipment, just pure, raw talent and a burning desire to learn.

We couldn't just let this moment pass. We invited them into our Hive world, eager to share the possibilities that lay within the blockchain. We had a session with them and their teachers, breaking down the complexities of Blockchain Technology and Hive into digestible, exciting concepts. We showed them how a decentralized world could open doors they never knew existed.

Their faces lit up as they participated in our games. It was a "first" for them, a glimpse into a world they had only dreamed of.

Seeing their excitement, and their genuine curiosity, it filled us with a profound sense of purpose. We weren't just showcasing a technology; we were planting seeds of possibility in their minds. We were showing them that their dreams, no matter how big, were within reach.

The moment they left, a little piece of us went with them, and a little piece of them stayed with us. It was a reminder that technology isn't just about code and algorithms; it's about people, about empowering them, about giving them the tools to build a better future. And those kids, with their bright eyes and determined spirits, left us with a renewed sense of hope, a powerful reminder that the future is in good hands.

Thank you for reading till the end.

We challenged participants to build innovative applications on the Hive blockchain, and the results were truly impressive.

I still could not figure out from this post, why the results were impressive ? Did they come up with any new app ? Usually a Hackathon would be impressive if it showcases some results.

We witnessed projects that tackled real-world problems, from the New Hive Explorer to some interesting games and some really cool Infra Based Projects. The creativity was commendable at IIT Delhi.

What did Hive get apart from visibility ? And 10 lakh rupees reward for what ? Just participation ?

In some earlier post of @gungunkrishu we had a debate on how this money is spent, it's not funded by @valueplan and @guiltyparties, it's a fund of the community. I am sure, you would have also given tax to the government on the fund so that also should have come from @valueplan ? @blackheart1 can you please explain why this 10 lakh reward ( + 30% tax should have been given ?) ?

We have had multiple developers who have judged the hackathon entries since last year. Aggroed, Bookerman, Spiritsurge, Guiltyparties, and many more have dedicated their time to be judges for all the hackathons that we have conducted till now.
