Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 183 - European stonechat free theme

Today for the Free theme of the Photo Contest by @nelinoeva I want to show you some pictures of the European Stonechat that I found in north eastern Austria at the border to Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Stonechat loves high meaddowas and needs them for breeding. These birds live in rough grassland with scattered small shrubs and bramble and because there are only a few of these grasslands left. Due to heavy efforts protecting these grasslands and the habitat of the european stonechat, their number can be kept steady. But I have to admit that I only found a few spots where I was able to encounter this bird.
