An unexpected conversation with Mom

It was 10 am this morning, and hive baby was taking his nap, I was done with my weekend usual house cleaning activities. Sitting down on the couch sipping my last cup of tea as slowly as I can.

This is the last tea in the house and I wasn't ready to step outside to the nearby shop to get more not until next tomorrow when I will go for more proper provisions shopping. For that, I'm sipping this tea as slow as I can for it to last in my mouth lol.

Ring-ring-ring
Me ; Hello mom, good morning ma.

Mom; morning my dear, how are you,

my son-in-law and my grandson doing?

Me; We are all fine Mom. Thank you!

Just after we exchange pleasantries

Mom; I have a very simple question for you.

Me; okay mom, go ahead. At this point I was very curious, one for her to call this time of the day as she usually calls first thing in the morning and second what could her question be?

I listened attentively, as she asked her question like below.

If you suddenly won 1 million dollars, what would you do with the money?

Me, Being Funshee I busted out with laughter, and asked, Mom, where in heaven will I see that kind of money?

Forget about where the money will come from, just go ahead and answer my question.

I paused for a few seconds, inhaled and exhaled, not because I didn't already have a plan for that kind of money but was not expecting that type of question from Mom.

But after the pause, here was my response to her Question.

Well, Mommy, the answer to your question is not very hard at all as you already know what my dreams are.

First thing first,I will acquire suitable acres of land at a very secure location, where we can build our dream home and use the remaining land for agricultural purposes.

Agriculture is one important area my country Nigeria is still lacking behind. There is a great opportunity for economic growth, exporting agricultural products to other countries and employing the steaming graduates from our institutions.

For these reasons, after building our dream home, I will invest a large part of the money in agriculture, such as food crops, rearing of honey 🐝 bees, you still
remember how much I love to have a bee farm and livestock's right?.

This will provide employment for a lot of our youth, and food for my nation. I can become the next Dangote of our time, by making sure my country becomes self-sufficient when it comes to some food products.

Mom, also you remember I told you about hive platform I have been involved in for over two years now? So I will invest part of the money in the platform to become a strong whale 🐳 in other for me to be able to support smaller accounts with my votes. And any proceeds from it will be for the future of my son.

With a million-dollar, I will set you and dad up on a salary for life that can take care of all your needs.

It also means that I will be able to fulfill my long term wishes of helping the less privileged in my community as I will set up a scheme that can take care of some of their basic needs, such as feeding, clothing, education and skills.

If after all of the above I still have a lot of money left, I will think of investing it into the real estate business.

So, mom, this is a kind of rough idea of the things I will do if I won a million dollars.

So now can you tell me why you ask me this question Mommy?

Mom; I just really want to know your big plans so that I can encourage you to keep on working on your dreams, never let anything come in your way and never give up no matter what and always remember that I believe in your dreams.

After this conversation with mom, I felt inspired again, to keep my head high and keep on chasing my dream because once again I know that I always have my mom support and encouragement.
