My Go To Social Media Platform

When friends get to wonder why I'm not active on Facebook or other traditional social media platforms, I smile and let them know that in this internet era, where I can lose ownership of my account within a twinkle of an eye on traditional social media platforms.

I value my data too much to be wasting it away on such web2 platforms. Sometimes, my explanation does convince them to give the hive a chance by registering on the platform even though some find it hard to be active in the long run. I have successfully onboard active members through this method.

Even before I joined hive over two years ago, my time on social media like Facebook or Instagram has always been very limited. My web2 social media accounts were mostly for promoting my honey business, except WhatsApp where I get to chat with family and friends when necessary.

I rather indulge my time watching movies in my idle period than waste my data subscription on web2 platforms while I gain nothing tangible in return.

When I found hive everything changed, I became a social media person. Every day I look forward to what is new on the platform through content creation and interacting with other like-minded people across the globe on hive blockchain.

Hive has everything I need, from an app like ecency and Inleo for me to get involved in short-form content whenever I want to, to peakd for creating my long-form content to 3speaks for video content creation and Liketu for photography publications.

Another great thing about hive is the diverse community, anything that interests me, there is a group of community for it and all I have to do is get Involved. I can even create a community of my own if I'm up for it. Something I would like to do in the future.

I did not just find the social side of hive blockchain interesting but as a content creator, it is a place where one can learn and grow tremendously as long as he/she is willing. It is a place of immense and diverse knowledge.

On hive, one can start a brand and grow it into something big and worthwhile. All of these and more are what make Hive so attractive to me. Why I can't go a day without visiting the platform? Even when I'm too busy to create a post I will still go around to interact with others.

And on top of it all, every engagement activity in the hive is very rewarding. What is better than earning doing the things I love?

When it comes to social media platforms, hive has become my favorite, It is a place I can't stay without and I'm glad I'm part of this moving and beautiful train 🚂
