Greetings friends lovers of NFT games and splinterlands. Today I would like to share with you a sculpture I made to participate in the splinterlands art contest. It is inspired by a card called Daigendark Hunter.

It is a card that at first sight I found impressive, so I wanted to try to see how I made it in plasticine and this was the result. Below you can see a picture of the final result and the card I was inspired by.

Saludos amigos amantes de los juegos NFT y de splinterlands. Hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes una escultura que hice para participar en el concurso de arte de splinterlands. Está inspirada en una carta llamada Daigendark Hunter.

Es una carta que a primera vista me pareció impresionante, así que quise intentar ver que tal la hacía en plastilina y este fue el resultado. A continuación pueden ver una fotografía del resultado final y la carta en que me inspiré.

Step by step

The first step to make this sculpture is the skeleton. I used a wire skeleton, because it is a little bigger than the previous sculptures I have made, as it is little more than a bust only. The shape of the sculpture is quite extended, as it has stretched arms and even an arrow bow, so I had to make a good wire support for it.

I used wire, thread, silicone and cardboard to make the whole support for the sculpture.

Paso a paso

El primer paso para hacer esta escultura es el esqueleto. Usé un esqueleto de alambre, porque es una escultura un poco mas grande que las anteriores que he hecho, pues es poco más que un busto solamente. La forma de la escultura es bastante extendida, pues tiene brazos estirados y hasta un arco de flecha, así que debía hacerle un buen soporte de alambre.

Usé alambre, hilo, silicón y cartulina para confeccionar todo el soporte de la escultura.

On top of the support I began to place the plasticine mixture I created, a mixture of gray, red, brown and black. I started placing the plasticine without following any pattern, just covering the support, then I began to mold it to give it this characteristic female body shape.

Encima del soporte comencé a colocar la mezcla de plastilina que creé, una mezcla entre gris, rojo, marrón y negro. Empecé colocando plastilina sin seguir ningún patrón, simplemente cubriendo el soporte, luego comencé a moldear para darle esta forma de cuerpo femenino tan característica.

It is a rustic looking body, like the bark of a tree, so the amount of detail I had was immense. First we had to do the female molding and then make wrinkles, lines and imperfections to give that rustic look I told you about.

Es un cuerpo de apariencia rústica, como la corteza de un árbol, así que la gran cantidad de detalles que tenía era inmensa. Primero había que hacer el moldeado femenino y luego hacer arrugas, líneas e imperfecciones que dieran esa apariencia rústica que les comenté.

A continuación pueden ver fotografías de la parte frontal y trasera del cuerpo.

I added many more details, such as muscle lines, the huge bow on the left arm and the hand, a long hand similar to the branches of a tree; also, I made the neck and the head, also the breasts and the shape of the waist.

In this way the base body of the figure was getting ready, but it was time to dress her.

Agregué muchos más detalles, como líneas de músculos, el arco enorme que tiene en el brazo izquierdo y la mano, una mano larga similar a las ramas de un árbol; además, hice el cuello y la cabeza, también los senos y la forma de la cintura.

De esta manera iba quedando el cuerpo base de la figura, pero era hora de vestirla.

I started with vinotint plasticine in the waist area, this would be the base completely covered with what looks like some pieces of fabric, but according to me are more pieces of wood of a different color.

Comencé con plastilina vinotinto en el área de la cintura, esto sería la base completamente cubierta con lo que parecen unos trozos de tela, pero que según yo son más trozos de madera de otro color.

I used more lines of vinotint plasticine to cover the area of the breasts, shoulders and hands, to place all the necessary details to dress the figure. I followed the same way the character was dressed in the letter.

Usé más líneas de plastilina vinotinto para cubrir el área de los senos, los hombros y las manos, para colocar todos los detalles necesarios para vestir la figura. Seguí la misma forma con la que se vistió al personaje en la carta.

Something more difficult that I added were the details of the hand, because the character on the card has something like long nails of the same color of the garment and something like a ribbon on the forearm.

It was hard to do because of how small the details were, but I still did them, as you can see in the picture below:

Algo más difícil que agregué fueron los detalles de la mano, pues el personaje en la carta tiene algo parecido a uñas largas del mismo color de la prenda y algo parecido a una cinta en el antebrazo.

Me costó hacerlo por lo pequeños que eran los detalles, pero aún así se los hice, tal como pueden ver en la fotografía de abajo:

The last thing I did was to add the face and hair, in my opinion the easiest things to do compared to the rest of the body, as it was much more challenging to do the abdomen or the shape of the shoulders and arms.

Lo ultimo que hice fue agregar el rostro y el cabello, en mi opinión las cosas más fáciles de hacer en comparación del resto del cuerpo, pues fue mucho más desafiante hacer el abdomen o la forma de los hombros y brazos.

Finally I added the moss that the character has in different parts of the body. This way the figure was finished. Below you can see a series of pictures of the final result:

Finalmente agregué el musgo que el personaje tiene en distintas partes del cuerpo. De esta manera la figura quedó terminada. A continuación pueden ver una serie de fotografías del resultado final:
