Greetings friends, I hope you are well. Today I would like to share with this NFT game loving community, my participation in the Splinterlands Art Contest. I was inspired by a simple but scary badtante card called Stitch Leech.

It's a carnivorous plant, that's why it's terrifying. In addition to the art itself, I share with you the step by step of the artwork. Below is a picture of the letter and the sculpture I made.

Saludos amigos, espero se encuentren bien. Hoy me gustaría compartir con esta comunidad amante de los juegos NFT, mi participación en el Splinterlands Art Contest. Me inspiré en una carta badtante sencilla pero aterradora llamada Stitch Leech.

Es una planta carnivora, por eso resulta aterradora. Además del propio arte en sí, les comparto el paso a paso de la obra. A continuación una fotografía de la carta y la escultura que hice.

Step by step

The shape of this figurine is that of a plant with a thick stem, so I had to give it a strong support, otherwise it would be very weak and the plant would fall.

For this reason I created a wire support and then covered it with paper, so that it would not be completely made of plasticine and would be too heavy.

La forma de esta figurita es la de una planta con un tallo grueso, por eso febía darle un fuerte soporte, de lo contrario quedaría muy débil y caeria la planta.

Por esto le creé un soporte de alambre y luego lo cubrí con papel, para que no fuese completamente de plastilina y quedara muy pesado.

With the support ready, I began to cover it with plasticine, using a blue color as close as possible to the color of the card.

Con el soporte listo comencé a cubrirlo con plastilina, usando un color azul ño mas parecido posible al color de la carta.

This character has different details along its stem. One of those details are little purple lines that run the entire length. So I made little purple plasticine lines and placed each one in its place.

Este personaje tiene distintos detalles a lo largo de su tallo. Uno de esos detalles son pequeñas líneas purpura qje recorren todo el largo. Así que hice pequeñas líneas de plastilina purlura y las coloqué cada una en su lugar

Another detail is a sort of dorsal fin that also runs from the head of the plant to the bottom.

This fin is the same purple color but is covered on the edge by the same color as the stem, so I also made a line of plasticine of this color and placed it on the edge of the purple fin.

Otro de los detalles es una suerte de aleta dorsal que también recorre desde la cabeza de la planta hasta la parte inferior.

Esta aleta es del mismo color purpura pero está recubierta en el borde por el mismo color del tallo, así que también hice una línea de plastilina de este color y la coloque en el borde de la aleta purpura.

After I had the stem finished, I started working on the creature's head. Its head is similar to that of a demogorgon when it is open, with the difference that it is divided into four sections.

Después de tener el tallo terminado, empecé a trabajar en la cabeza de la criatura. Su cabeza es parecida a la de un demogorgon cuando esta abierta, con la diferencia de que esta se divide en cuatro secciones.

For the front part of the head I used pink plasticine, but for the back part I used green plasticine mixed with gray and the blue that I used for the stem. The mixture gave this color that you can see in the image below.

Para la parte frontal de la cabeza usé plastilina de color rosado, pero parala parte trasera usé plastilina de color verde mezclado con gris y el azul que usé para el tallo. La mezcla dio este color que pueden ver en la imagen de abajo.

I started with the details on the front of the head. I made lines in the pink area to give a muscle-like appearance.

On the other hand, I cut tiny pieces of white plasticine and molded it to create the shape of the teeth, which I arranged along the pink surface of the plant's head.

Empecé con los detales de la parte frontal de la cabeza. Hice líneas en el area rosada para dar una apariencia parecida a la de músculos.

Por otra parte, corté diminutas piezas de plastilina blanca y la moldeé para crear la forma de los dientes, los cuales dispuse a lo largo se la superficie rosada de la cabeza de la planta.

The last thing I did was to place a series of spikes along the entire length of the stem, in the empty spaces between the purple lines.

Lo último que hice fue colocar una serie de puas a lo largo de toda la extensión del tallo, en los espacios vacíos entre las líneas purpuras.

This is how the figure was finished as such, but as an additional thing I decorated the base with green plasticine.

Así quedó terminada la figura como tal, pero como algo adicional le decoré la base con plastilina de color verde.
