A Bit Of Abstract Never Hurt Nobody (#6)

It's that time of the year week again when we delve into some more branches of art that we all know so well as in most cases they meet no boundaries. And yes, it's about street art.

Based on my passion for art since I was a kid, which slowly began with drawing, then evolved into graphic design, and more recently got fascinated by street art and the stories behind it, I couldn't avoid dedicating one more post to that direction. Because, if you ask me, we all need more of this all around the world.

Things are quite simple this time, as I selected abstract art as this week's theme, so let's get started! As always, this post will also take part in the CCC's Street Art Contest #217!

The first, and my favourite from today's picks, is also the single piece of art that I could not find any information about the story behind of it. While this might not seem like an important detail for some, I believe it also comes as a great way to have a unique interpretation of the art by every single person who passes by. Sadly, the art is no longer visible since last summer because of some renovations done on the hotel this was placed on, but I am happy I managed to capture some pictures to keep this mural alive forever.

Next up, we have a quite minimalist design which gives an incredible effect over the whole building that serves for education. The column that is part of the design is meant to direct the gaze towards the sky and guide any passerby in his daily activity to let his mind open and communicate more with what surrounds him because we often focus on daily routines and almost forget that we are alive.

Name: Out of the Box (2019)
Artists: ANDREI FELEA & MARIA BORȚOI
Location: Strada Henri Coandă nr. 51, Sibiu 557260, România

The next piece of art I discovered is more of an algorithm of aesthetic attitudes and personal orientations that is unified modularly in a matrix dominated by optical games where both the artist and those passing by have full freedom of interpretation while everything is perfectly blended together.

Name: OPTICS NO.009 (2018)
Artists: OPTICS CREW
Location: Aleea Buia, Sibiu, România

This one already says a lot from the title which is "FROM BIG BANG TO TIK TOK". Without any further introduction, the artist wished to create a comparison between two temporal poses of the Universe, namely the Big Bang and Tik Tok where we focus too little on important aspects of life and become superficial due to all the social media platforms that steal too much time from each one of us.

Name: FROM BIG BANG TO TIK TOK (2020)
Artists: KAPS CREW
Location: Strada Semaforului 26, Sibiu 557260, România

Last but not least, we have another minimalist piece of art which is supposed to reflect the abstract mirror of Sibiu’s energy. Many people who visit Sibiu mention it for being calm, full of nature, mountains, kindness, smiles, and a little bit of good craziness! And living here for already 5 years, makes me agree with everything mentioned by the artist.

Indeed. Sadly the weather conditions don't help much all the time due to making the work seem a lot less interesting on a cloudy day, but they surely are amazing :)

Yeahhh cloudy weather can sometimes ruin a photo... especially seaside photos... I noticed the colours pop more on a synny photo but as you said! Still gorgeous!
