Street Art on Endless Walls (#14)

As my previous participation in the challenge came pretty weak with poor street art that failed in front of the test of time, I thought that for today's theme I will pick some awesomeness that covers pretty long walls in town.

I know that more doesn't necessarily mean better, but I got a feeling that you are going to enjoy some of today's picks, as they are quite modern and colorful!

This post is also going to take part in CCC's Street Art Contest #233!

The first mural comes with rather minimalist colours that match perfectly with the overall scenery, including shades of gray and yellow. However, the actual story behind this piece is, as its name suggests, a whole fairy tale written painted around a triangle. It could represent the Illuminati, The Bermuda Triangle or just a geometric figure, but everyone passing by has complete freedom to interpret all the Sci-Fi elements on the wall.

Next up we have a mural full of color but which comes as a contradiction to its story that is meant to represent the origins and history of writing, starting with the indecipherable elements all the way to the modern graffiti texts we see in the 21st century. Either way, it really caught my attention and I love it even if I don't know much about letters!

Location: Str. Avântului, Sibiu, România

For the next graffiti, we will need to use our imagination to complete the bottom part of the art as I have crossed this place at least 20 times and there was no chance to see it entirely. The reason could be because of all the stalls of locals who are selling traditional food in this part of the city and which don't really move them too far from the wall. However, the street art was designed to accompany this experience through lots of colourful fruits and vegetables that more or less make people figure out they could return home with more than just a picture of street art.

Location: Sala Transilvania, Sibiu, România

Next up we have one of the very first street arts in town that was settled in 2010, way before the festival that brought so many murals on the walls in the last decade took place. This is designed by Dan Perjovschi and it was inspired by a similar wall in Berlin and the art and text you see on the wall are constantly changed based on what happens in the world. During COVID this one was full of suggestive messages while lately it's pretty loaded with politics and war. Either way, all messages have smart ways of interpreting delicate situations, such as, just a single figure or word could start a whole conversation from the subtle suggestions shown around it.

Last but not least, we have a mix of more murals placed on one side of a secondary school where the story is shared just for the last one from the right, which is meant to combine more constituent elements showing that art is the way, being entirely led by life and sun. Even if the others don't have an official story, I think we can all agree that the mix of elements is pretty similar, making them all look well next to each other.
