Saludos hivers. Mi hermana me comentó de este concurso y como me encanta hacer manualidades y tengo un gato pues me pareció una excelente idea jejeje. Es mi primera publicación en esta comunidad y que mejor que hacer algo para mi querida mascota.

Greetings hivers. My sister told me about this contest and since I love doing crafts and I have a cat, it seemed like an excellent idea hehehe. It's my first post in this community and what better way to do something for my beloved pet.

Mi mascota es una gata y se llama Ze Pequeña, la rescaté del ducto del aire acondicionado que conectaba mi oficina y el estacionamiento de la empresa donde yo trabajaba. En ese momento ella tenía unos dos meses. No se supone que me la iba a quedar pero bastó tenerla ese fin de semana para enamorarme de ella y decidir adoptarla jejeje.

My pet is a cat and her name is Ze Pequeña. I rescued her from the air conditioning duct that connected my office and the parking lot of the company where I worked. At that time she was about two months old. I wasn't supposed to keep her but it was enough to have her that weekend to fall in love with her and decide to adopt her hehehe.

Estuve pensando durante varios días qué podría hacer para participar en este concurso pero había días en los que no se me ocurría nada y días en los que se me ocurrian demasiadas cosas jajaja 😬🥴🤦🏻‍♀️. Hasta que el viernes por fin decidí qué iba a hacer.

I was thinking for several days what I could make to participate in this contest but there were days when I couldn't think of anything and days when I could think of too many things hahaha 😬🥴🤦🏻‍♀️. Until Friday I finally decided what I was going to make.

Ze Pequeña es una gata muy aventurera, es arisca y a la vez muy tierna, le encanta comer y tiene una personalidad arrolladora 😼😎. Tomando en cuenta esto y muchas otras cosas que la caracterizan decidí hacerle una boina porque me parece un accesorio bohemio y ella es muy bohemia jejeje y también porque combina bien con todos los que aman el arte y la música y tanto Ze Pequeña como yo disfrutamos de ambos 🎨🖌️🎸.

Ze Pequeña is a very adventurous cat, she is surly and at the same time very tender, she loves to eat and has an overwhelming personality 😼😎. Taking this and many other things that characterize her into account, I decided to make her a beret because I think it's a bohemian accessory and she is a bohemian cat hehehe and also because it combines well with all those who love art and music and both Ze Pequeña and I enjoy both 🎨🖌️🎸.

Para hacer esta boina de gato me guié por una de mis boinas y mis conocimientos de costura. Obviamente las medidas son muy diferentes así que corté las piezas según las medidas que tomé de la cabeza de Ze Pequeña. A continuación les muestro cómo la hice.

To make this cat beret I was guided by one of my berets and my sewing knowledge. Obviously the measurements are very different so I cut the pieces according to the measurements I took of Ze Pequeña's head. I show you how I made it.

Los materiales que utilicé fueron un pedazo de tela grande, un retazo pequeño de Lycra, hilos y aguja de coser, tijeras, lápiz, alfileres, un compás y una regla.

The materials I used were a large piece of fabric, a small piece of Lycra, sewing thread and needle, scissors, pencil, pins, a compass and a ruler.

Lo primero que hice fue un círculo, para hacerlo más fácil hice una cruz de 14 cms de ancho por 14 cms de alto y con un compás tracé el círculo. Hice dos y los recorté.

The first thing I made was a circle, to make it easier I made a cross 14 cm wide by 14 cm high and with a compass I traced the circle. I made two and cut them out.

Tomé uno de los círculos y lo doblé dos veces. Medí 4,5 cms, tracé un semicírculo y lo recorté.

I took one of the circles and folded it twice. I measured 4,5 cms, traced a semicircle and cut it out.

Estas son nuestras tres piezas principales, el círculo que está completo será la parte de arriba de la boina.

These are our three main pieces, the circle that is complete will be the top part of the beret.

Como esta boina es para mi gata y a ella no le gusta que le tapen las orejas, le hice unas aberturas para que salgan sus orejas y así se sienta más cómoda. Tomé la medida de la distancia que hay entre sus orejas e hice un triángulo de 4 cms de base y 2,5 cms por lado y los recorté con cuidado.

Since this beret is for my cat and she doesn't like her ears covered, I made some openings for her ears to come out so she feels more comfortable. I took the measurement of the distance between her ears and made a triangle with a base of 4 cm and a side of 2.5 cm and I cut them out carefully.

Ahora tomé los dos círculos para coserlos. Yo lo cosí a mano. La razón por la que no se ven esas aberturas aquí es porque tomé esta foto antes de hacer los dos huecos 🤦🏻‍♀️ jajaja y luego me dí cuenta que primero tenía que hacer los huecos para las orejas y después coser los dos círculos, así que lo hice pero olvidé tomar la foto 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Now I took the two circles to sew them together. I sewed it by hand. The reason you don't see those openings here is because I took this photo before I made the two holes 🤦🏻‍♀️ hahaha and then I realized that first I had to make the holes for the ears and then sew the two circles, so I did it but I forgot to take the photo 🤦🏻‍♀️.

La tela que utilicé no es rígida así que para evitar que se estire demasiado se me ocurrió ponerle a los huecos unas tiras de Lycra en los bordes, eso también evitará que se deshilachen los huecos.

The fabric I used isn't rigid so to prevent it from stretching too much I thought of putting some strips of Lycra on the edges of the holes, which also will prevent the holes from fraying.

Ahora sí, a coser la boina, tomé los dos círculos y los cosí enfrentando derecho con derecho (al revés).

Now, let's sew the beret, I took the two circles and sewed them facing right side to right side (backwards).

A Ze Pequeña le encanta acompañarme cuando estoy escribiendo mis publicaciones, cuando estoy dibujando o mientras trabajo en piezas para mi emprendimiento de moda, la mayoría del tiempo se acuesta debajo de mi mesa de trabajo o en la cama pero hay veces que se monta en la mesa y se acuesta justo encima de lo que yo estoy haciendo jajaja 🤦🏻‍♀️, lo hace para que le preste atención así que la acaricio, la abrazo, empieza a ronronear y yo continúo trabajando junto a un motor felino a mi lado jajaja, algo que por cierto es muy relajante 🧘🏻‍♀️.

Ze Pequeña loves to accompany me when I'm writing my posts, when I'm drawing or while I am working on pieces for my fashion venture. Most of the time she lies under my work table or in bed but there are times when she jumps onto the table and lies down right on top of what I'm doing hahaha 🤦🏻‍♀️, she does it so I can pay attention to her so I pet her, hug her, she starts purring and I continue working next to a feline engine on my side hahaha, something that by the way is very relaxing 🧘🏻‍♀️.

Ayer cuando me faltaba poco para terminar la boina, Ze Pequeña se montó en la mesa y empezó a jalar el hilo con el que estaba cosiendo jajaja. Hay gatos a los que les encantan todos esos juguetes extraños que venden para ellos, pues a Ze Pequeña lo que le gusta es jugar con hilos y alambres delgados, se vuelve loca cuando se los paso enfrente para que juegue 😃🤭🤭.

Yesterday when I was close to finishing the beret, Ze Pequeña got on the table and started pulling the thread I was sewing with hahaha. There are cats that love all those strange toys that are sold for them, because what Ze Pequeña likes is to play with threads and thin wires, she goes crazy when I pass them in front of her to play with 😃🤭🤭.

Luego de coser ambos círculos los volteamos para que queden por el lado exterior.

Así se debe ver, la costura queda por dentro. Tomé la tira que corté al principio, la doblé y ahora la voy a coser al aro, y que es por donde obviamente va a entrar la cabeza del gato.

This is what it should look like, the seam is on the inside. I took the strip that I cut at the beginning, folded it and now I'm going to sew it to the hoop, and that is where the cat's head is obviously going to enter.

Y este es el resultado final. La boina ya está lista para que Ze Pequeña se la ponga y modele 🤭🤭😼📸.

Por supuesto que esta boina no tiene ningún sentido sin la modelo así que aquí les presento el resultado modelado por mi querida Ze Pequeña 💖. No fue nada fácil hacer estas fotos
🥴 jajaja, así que tuve que ir tomando fotos continuas para luego revisar cuántas salieron bien, afortunadamente hubo varias 😺 jejeje.

Of course this beret makes no sense without the model so here I present the result modeled by my dear Ze Pequeña 💖. It was not easy to take these photos 🥴hahaha, so I had to take continuous photos and then check how many turned out well, fortunately there were several 😺 hehehe.

Las mascotas le dan mucha alegría a nuestras vidas y nos llenan el corazón con su amor puro y desinteresado 💖🤗. Es un placer participar en este concurso que combina nuestras habilidades manuales con el amor a nuestras mascotas 🐱🐶🐇🐢🐓🐠.

It was so much fun making this beret for Ze Pequeña. I love my cat, I love hugging her and kissing her until she loses patience and tries to run away hahaha. Pets bring a lot of joy to our lives and fill our hearts with their pure and selfless love 💖🤗. It's a pleasure to participate in this contest that combines our manual skills with the love of our pets 🐱🐶🐇🐢🐓🐠.
