SMAP 189 - Free Theme Again!

Wow, time really passes by so fast I almost missed this week's SMAP or Show Me A Photo Contest hosted by @nelinoeva. With only 7 hours before closing time, I certainly hope I get to make it. Check out the contest post here. Read up and join us in the fun.

FREE THEME

I have always prepared for a Bird or Birds on Wire theme. I have taken so many photos of birds on wire. But while doing so, I noted something really strange with the photos I took below. The reason? Well, the kind of bird perched on the wire are the Philippine Red Maya, a specie that is known to be a low flying one and are very seldom seen flying way up there. They are usually seen on stalks of grass or low lying branches but not electrical wires. So, upon seeing them, I immediately took some photos as they would allow before flying off.

I would have loved to enter the second photo but I seldom get photos of birds flying which is why I am choosing the first photo as my entry.
