SMAP 194 - Big Cocks On Green

The theme for this week is:

GREEN

While reading about this week's theme, I had to just shake my head because for two times already in the past 5 weeks my SMAP entries were better suited for the next week's theme! Take for example Round 189 with Free Theme. I had just taken photos of some Red Mayas perched on an electric wire which is quite unusual for this specie being low flying birds. My entry photo had two of them taking off from the wire with their wings fully captured and two of them still perched on the wire. The next week the theme was Wings which I already used up. Shucks. Then last week's SMAP 193, another Free Theme, I featured my morning sunbird visitor perched on our Purple Bell plant with all the leaves behind it. Then suddenly, this week's theme is Green. Oh no. Not again. My sunbird entry with all the leaves in the background would have been perfect for this!!

But it is what it is. We just accept the challenges that we encounter and do our best. So for this week, although I so truly want to turn back the time and enter my sunbird photos, I will enter some photos of a couple of cocks while they forage for food. What's special about them is these cocks are larger than the average sized ones. Here they are.

These are the ones that I captured which were really big ones. For my entry, I am submitting the fourth (4th) photo above.
