SMAP 200 - While In Lake Annecy, France

Hello Feathered Friends Community. Let us welcome the Show Me A Photo or SMAP Contest Round 200 hosted by @nelinoeva. Congratulations to everyone for your support without which we wouldn't make it to this milestone of 200 Rounds and counting. The theme for this week is:

WHITE

In August of 2023 my daughter who lives in Germany visited Switzerland. She and her friends wanted to see the Swiss Alps and since it was summer, they planned to trek up the mountains. While there, they stayed in Geneva when they were not trekking up the mountains. However, they found out that just across the border from Geneva was already France and so to France they went. Where in France? In Annecy!

It is the largest city in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of Southeastern France and lies on the northern tip of Lake Annecy, 35 kilometres south of Geneva, Switzerland. Also called the Little Venice of France because of the Thiou canals that flow throughout the city, Annecy has become a major tourist draw because of the scenic view of the cleanest lake in France, Lake Annecy, surrounded by the French Alps, green in the summer and snow capped in the winter. Annecy is also where our creative art consultant, @barbara-orenya, I think still resides if she hasn't transferred yet. What a coincidence.

My daughter sent some photos of the lake and luckily, there was a couple with some white birds there which I share with you below.

Wish I could share more that would show how beautiful Annecy is but no white birds anywhere in the other photos. So we'll just have to do with the ones above. The first photo above is my entry.
