LOH Community Contest #195 ~ My Dream||My Wish

We are in times of many changes, thousands of people have had to leave their homes to start from scratch. Tell me, what do you think about immigration? Have you lived this experience, or do you have someone close to you who has had to go to another country? How do you feel about that?

One of my many dreams is traveling out of my current country/state to another and I am just hoping the opportunity would present itself soon and that dream would materialize. Although before I did dream of traveling out of the country just for holidays or maybe vacations but right now, I would love to move to another country to expand more on my knowledge.

So, the more I dig deeper into my choice of discipline in school, the more I realize that it is broader, and interesting and would expose me to a wider knowledge but I believe that I would not be getting the more knowledge I acquire in my state and maybe in my country as a whole and that is because it is not well vast and many people do not see the need for it.

Although my current problem now is funds and putting things in place for those I would be leaving behind, except that and maybe my schooling if I am presented with a juicy offer and a better option especially one that covers my schooling option, I would not mind leaving to start life afresh over there.

I have always seen myself leaving the shore of my country, always seen myself exploring, seeing life from a different angle and world, I have always seen myself aim for bigger and better, always seen myself not just viewing things from people's pictures but from my picture, so I have always dreamed of wanting for more, wish I hope to achieve someday.

Yeah, it is a discipline in schools and also a course, but over time I have realized that 70% of the people studying it aren't offering it as their first choice but out of compulsion because that was their only option, and after taking the various courses we have in this field of study, I feel it is more interesting, vast, encompassing and exploring than they present to us and yeah, I have heard so many people talk about how it is underrated in this part of my world and wouldn't say they are lying because it is not widespread.

So, I would love to move to another country where Guidance and counseling are widespread and get to learn more because I don't just want to be a guidance counselor by paper, I want to be it. I wish to take it as a career, it was my first and only choice when I got into the university and I hope to bag as many degrees as possible on that course.

For someone like me who is not planning to remain in my country forever, I am not sure I have any problem with immigration to another country, I have dreams of seeing the world, visiting many countries, and experiencing the tales I have heard about them, from their food, their way of life, dressing and down to their culture.

Also, I have had this dream and wish of not birthing any of my kids in my country, lol, but I am just hoping that after I am done with my current degree, I will get an opportunity to further in another country, to have a taste of how this course of discipline looks like outside this country/state because I am driven to want to invest and push for more.
