It is a pleasure for me to be present again in this Christmas proposal and for this I bring you the review and analysis of the movie Rocky V, which despite being an action movie is set in Christmas time. The Rocky saga continues when Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) is retired from boxing and decides to pass all his knowledge and advice to a young boxer who seeks him out and harasses him to train him.

Rocky's story, as those who have followed his films since the beginning know, is always a struggle to overcome and to want to be the best.
Starting from the bottom with no money, no financial support and only relying on the reputation earned by his hard work throughout his boxing career is not easy.

At first Rocky doesn't want to get involved in the process of teaching other boxers, but once he does he becomes so passionate and dedicated, striving to create a better boxer than he is, that he neglects his own family and his son demands quality time.
Envy and ambition conspire to oppose Rocky's good advice and cause the relationship between him and his apprentice to deteriorate.

The film contains several important messages. The first is that the ambition to grow and be the best by striving to reach the goal is not bad, what is bad is that ambition and greed lead you to harm others, especially if they are the people who have supported you and have believed in you from the beginning. El primero es que la ambición por crecer y ser el mejor esforzándonos hasta llegar a la meta no está mal, lo que si es malo es que la ambición y la codicia te lleven a perjudicar a los demás, especialmente si son las personas que te han apoyado y han creído en ti desde el principio. Aquí se aplica un refrán venezolano que dice: "no muerdas la mano de quién te da de comer" o también otro que dice: " cría cuervos y te sacarán los ojos".

The second message is in family relationships, especially between parent and child. Christmas is a propitious time to share with the family, but if the rest of the year the attention to the children has been neglected, without dedicating time to listen to them and stimulate them, it is useless to try to correct them with a Christmas dinner. When children rebel, we ask: What did I do wrong? and we already know the answer.

I recommend watching this movie because it is not just another boxing story, but it involves life lessons that shed light on how to build a true family relationship where values are the priority.

Until Rocky IV, the story was very similar: the boxer prepares for the big fight, fails and then in his second attempt he comes out victorious. This film breaks with this scheme and that is why it gives a twist to the story and we can draw a lot of material and life lessons from this film.

Recomiendo ver esta película porque no solo se trata de una historia más de boxeo, sino que involucra lecciones de vida que nos dan luz para construir una verdadera relación familiar donde los valores sean la prioridad.
Hasta Rocky IV, la historia era muy similar: el boxeador se prepara para la gran pelea, fracasa y luego en su segundo intento sale victorioso. En esta película se rompe con este esquema y es por eso que se da un giro a la historia y podemos sacar mucho material y lecciones de vida de este film
