🕺 Welcome to our newest collaborative event! 🕺

Scholar and Scribe and Dreemport are proud to announce a brand spanking new event for August: The Late Days of Summer Hold your excitement, I know. 😱 We have collaborated with Dreemport in the past but this is the first time we are trying out this type of event. I hope you all leave us your feedback and tell us if you would like something similar in the future! 🙌

☀️ Late Days of Summer ☀️

This event will run 3 weeks, 3 contests all centered around one theme. We have over 30 Hive in prize money for the entire event - not to mention a lot of tokens. The thematic undertones are that of joy, sun, and sweat, with each week's prompt highlighting a new aspect of the Late Days of Summer. 😎

🥳 Week Two Winners 🥳

🥇 Gold: 5 HIVE + 600 Ecency points

Since Brom had lost Samantha in Medina Beach, ten years ago, he had taken to using the modern Infinity machines that the government had placed in every public office for all employees to take virtual vacations.

I basked in the warm sunshine, away from my sisters, focusing on nothing in particular. From the vastness of the ocean, the cool breeze, the happy faces of children playing on the shore, everything made my heart tranquil.

If anyone had told me that I would be spending the last days of summer in a universe where everything is on the reverse, I would have hushed the person up for saying such an unimaginable thing but not with Ted, my partner who believes that the only limit one has is his or her imagination.

Entries must adhere to the given prompt;
Entries must be between 500 and 1500 words.
Note: this does not include any intro/footer text.
You must post your entry in the Scholar and Scribe community and use the #scholarandscribe tag;
Deadline for submission is Thursday, 22nd of August (23.59, GMT + 01);
Entry must be submitted on Dreemport on Thursday, 22nd of August.
Note: The story can be posted at any time during the week, but it must be submitted on the Dreemport site on this date.
You can vote for your entry on the 23rd of August on Dreemport;
Note: The judges will consider the votes, but the winners will ultimately be decided by the quality of their writing and how well they incorporate the prompt.
All languages are welcome but MUST include an English translation;

The winners will be announced next week after the voting + judging has concluded. For the final week the prizes are a bit larger:

🎥 Prompt: Last Night of Summer, Farewell!

A night set betwixt the two seasons - a night to remember. Once the leaves have reached full bloom they start to fade, and like all things, leave this world. For the last week of this challenge, we invite you to write about a magical night sending off the scorching summer, while inviting the chilly autumn. But of course, the emphasis has to be on summer, as that is the thematic throughput for this event. ☀️
