Show Me A Photo Round 18 - A Curious One

Hello everyone. Let's welcome ourselves to Round 18 of this wonderful challenge hosted by @nelinoeva. Know more about this by clicking on the link here. You are all welcome to join if you haven't yet. It will definitely be worth your time.

For this week the theme is:

Bird In Grass

Here is my story.

There's a vacant lot near the end of our street which, for over the last 20 years, has been left unattended, uninhabited and seemingly forgotten by the owner. This vacant lot has now been a dumping ground of practically anything by passersby. It also is being used as a grazing area for residents raising goats and sheep as it is just overrun by wild grass and weeds and vines and trees. It also is a place where birds would go to look for food as I am sure worms and many small insects can be found here. But that's not everything a bird can find, as you are about to see.

One day I was walking along this part of the street and saw this Zebra Pigeon inspecting a discarded face mask.

I followed the bird as it continued walking unmindful of my presence. He seemed determined to find some goodies and he definitely won't let anything bother him. He passed by a clear plastic wrapper. Nope, not interested.

He kept on walking, or should I say hopping, and spotted something colorful in the distance. He checked it out and found out it was just some discarded rubber slipper or shoe of some kind.

He must have finally sensed my presence because suddenly he took off away from me. Maybe he was also thinking, "There's nothing here for me anyway."

And that's the end of my encounter with a curious and definitely hungry bird. Here's the actual picture of the Zebra Pigeon as he passed by the clear plastic wrapper. This is also my entry for this Round.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Feathered Friends and @melinda010100 for sponsoring this contest, @oks2crypto for judging all the awesome entries round in and round out, and to @ecency for the bonus Ecency points.

All for now. Good luck to all participants and may you all have a great start to the weekend! Stay safe and God bless you all.
