Vibes Web3 Writing Contest Week 27-Composure in Music (Ability to Own a Song)

When it comes to composure in music, several key elements can enhance a performer's stage presence and overall impact. In today's edition, I'll be focusing on the ability to own a song while performing on stage. This skill is crucial for soloists and singers, as it allows them to command the stage and engage the audience.

When a performer can fully inhabit and own the song, it becomes incredibly compelling. This involves connecting with the lyrics, melody, and emotions of the song on a deep level. In fact, a strong connection to the song can make a significant difference in the audience's perception of the performance. Often, a performer's stage presence can be predicted from their introduction, which is another essential element to consider when performing.

Interestingly, when a performer is intentional about the song they're singing, about 70-80% of any flaws made during the presentation are overlooked by the audience. This highlights the importance of owning the song and delivering it with conviction.

I was inspired to write about music this week after witnessing a remarkable performance by @godaddict . According to those who listened to her performance, her performance this week was better than her previous ones, and I wholeheartedly agree. She came fully prepared, and her intentionality shone through in every aspect of her singing.
