LOH #214: AFROBEATS "DEALER" BY AYO MAFF

In this week's edition of the @ladiesofhive weekly community contest, has to be the most relatable one ever. It's about the song we have memorized lately and for me it is the trending song by a new and popular guy whose name is Ayorinde Mafoluku Ayodele known professionally as Ayo Maff. He is a Nigerian artist who is gaining fame in the music entertainment industry with his song title "dealer" featuring Fireboy. As a lover of afrobeat genre of music, when I first heard the song and the rhythm behind it, the excellent use of code mixed languages in English, pidgin and yoruba,it caught my attention.

As we all know, it's kind of difficult to make waves in the music industry except you have connection or except you music is genuine and people loves it. The fame this music has gained all over the nation is due to Tha fact the artist is talented and his lyrics are rich. When you listen to the song, you realize that it's not just a mere song for pleasure but one that allows you to experience the synergy and connection between Ayo Maff’s dynamic beats and Fireboy DML’s soulful vocals.

The major themes embedded in the songs are one that a young Nigerian youth can relate to in this harsh economic situation. It embedded with themes of ambition, hustle, and success. It is the dream of every Nigerian youth to do well and prosper, although that can be difficult but we strive to attain it and in the end, through the pain and turmoil, success in ineveitable.
