BeerSaturday 356 - Irish Stout Nitro (O'Hara's)
Here's my entry for BeerSaturday 356 with an Irish Stout Nitro brewed by O'Hara's, a brewery in Ireland. And yes, this week we're not in Quebec, but in Ireland, the land of Guinness. I spotted this beer while shopping yesterday and couldn't resist, being a big fan of Guinness. I couldn't resist tasting it.
Here's a map of Ireland where I can show you exactly where the brewery is located. This is the first time I've featured a brewery outside Quebec, O'Hara's also known as Carlow Brewing Company. It's located near the town of Carlow, just outside Kilkenny (another famous beer).

📜 Brewery / Brasserie :
The brewery O'Hara's or Carlow Brewing Company was founded in 1996 in the heart of the Barrow Valley at the historic site of the Irish brewing industry. The brewery is housed in a former railway station in Carlow, next to rich arable land and a spring of pure water. Perfect for brewing beers and reviving the Irish tradition of every village brewing its own beer.

Irish Stout Nitro is, as the name suggests, a stout with 4.3% alcohol and a fairly light IBU of 25. It has the little “Nitro” element that gives it the same effect as when served on draught. In the glass, it has the characteristic color and neck of an Irish Stout. Tastewise, it's much lighter than Guinness, with a more pronounced smoky taste. Not bad...
Design
Nothing original, even at first glance I thought it was a new kind of Guinness with that black and gold design. It could have stood out a bit but it's true that's what caught my eye: “a new Guinness... Ah no... “ 😀.
Have a great week. / Très bonne semaine à tous.
Cheers / Santé / Salud 🍻

You did so well by sharing on the mag where the brewery is located
I’m trying to imagine if I’d love the taste though because black beers are usually bitter😅
Not a very bitter beer, with a pronounced smoky taste.
Have a wonderful week
Ooh I love stouts, the color is gorgeous!
Nice beer, lighter than the Guinness with smoky taste.
Have a great Monday

Thanks... Have a great day
Nice looking beer. I had same reaction that based on design I thought it was a new Guinness product. I also was hoping you were on vacation in Ireland 😀
Oh, I wish I could be in Ireland to taste that beer... I need a jet to fly back and forth on weekends in Europe 😀
