Here's my entry for BeerSaturday 366 with an easy-drinking beer called Checheune, brewed by Ras L'Bock in Quebec. Before I left on vacation, I tasted this beer while preparing a few pizzas. Refreshing even in front of the pizza oven 😀.

Voici ma participation au BeerSaturday 366 avec une bière facile à boire la Checheune brassé par Ras L'Bock au Québec. Avant mon départ en vacances, j'avais dégusté cette bière en préparant quelques pizzas. Rafraichissante même devant le four à pizza 😀.

Here is the map of Quebec where I can show you precisely the location of the brewery. Ras L'Bock is located in the village of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, 120 km north of Quebec City on the banks of the St. Lawrence River.

Ras L'Bock is, as is often the case with microbreweries, the brainchild of 3 friends who love beer and brew their "blend" in their garage. They are Alexandre Caron, Julien Chouinard and David Lebel. For 4 years, they perfected their skills before opening their brewery in 2019. The three owners want to get involved in their community by helping festivals, sports teams... in the region. And reforesting, too. Really cool... For information, Ras L'Bock means a glass full to the brim.

Ras L'Bock est comme souvent pour les microbrasseries une idée de 3 amis qui adorent la bière et brassent leur mélange dans leur garage. Il s'agit de Alexandre Caron, Julien Chouinard et David Lebel. Pendant 4 années, ils se sont perfectionnés avant d'ouvrir leur usine de brassage en 2019. Les trois propriétaires veulent s'impliquer dans leur communauté en aidant les festivals, les équipes de sport... de la région. Et aussi de reboiser. Vraiment cool...

🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :

La Checheune is a NEIPA with 4.5% alcohol. The name is the pronunciation of Session in French in the region 😀. In the glass, we see a beautiful straw-yellow, slightly cloudy color topped by a beautiful white collar. On the palate, this beer is easy to drink and refreshing. Perfect on hot days or when working in front of a pizza oven.

La Checheune est une NEIPA avec 4.5% d'alcool. Le nom est la prononciation de Session en français dans la région 😀. Dans le verre, on a une belle robe jaune paille un peu trouble surmonté d'un beau col blanc. En bouche, on retrouve une bière facile à boire et rafraichissante. Parfaite quand il fait chaud ou quand on travaille devant un four à pizza.

Design

In terms of design, we find the slightly crazy style of the brewery Ras L'Bock with this funny blue man. And on the back, there's a short description with the origin of the beer's name and its inspiration. And here's the pizza I was "working" on : Coppa Mozarella 🔽

Niveau design, on retrouve le style un peu déjanté de la brasserie Ras L'Bock avec ce drôle de bonhomme bleu. Et au dos, il y a une courte description avec l'origine du nom de la bière et son inspiration. Et voilà la pizza sur laquelle je "travaillais", Coppa Mozarella :
