A bit late, here's my entry for BeerSaturday 369 with an Oat Cream, the Alto CR brewed by BreWskey in Montreal. I think this is the first beer of this type that I've had. This will be perfect to learn more about it.

Avec un peu de retard, voici ma participation au BeerSaturday 369 avec une Oat Cream, la Alto CR brassée par BreWskey à Montréal. Je pense que c'est la première bière de ce type que je bois. Cela va être parfait pour en apprendre plus à ce sujet.

A nod to @detlev's post on the presentation of his beer Deco Beer - The important part of diving the ocean. I really liked his photo with the can hanging from the glass. I couldn't help but pick up on the concept.

📜 Brewery / Brasserie :

BreWskey was founded in 2015 by Karine Amyotte, Guillaume Couraud and Derrick Robertson, who as is often the case, a group of friends passionate about beer but also whisky hence the name. They started the adventure as taproom then in 2019 brewed their own beers, mostly IPAs.

BreWskey a été fondée en 2015 par Karine Amyotte, Guillaume Couraud et Derrick Robertson, qui comme c'est souvent le cas, un groupe d'amis passionnés par la bière mais aussi le whisky d'où le nom. Ils commencent l'aventure comme taproom puis en 2019 brassent leurs propres bières, surtout des IPA.

🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :

The Alto CR is an Oat Cream IPA with 6.5% alcohol and Citra and Riwaka hops. This is the first time I've drunk an Oat Cream. It's actually an India Pale Ale with a creamy texture due to the presence of oats and lactose. In the glass, the orange/cream color is matched by a beautiful white head. To the taste, I liked that the bitterness of an IPA was attenuated by the creaminess of the oats. I really liked this type of beer, and I'll definitely be looking at what other breweries have to offer.

La Alto CR est une IPA Oat Cream avec 6,5% d'alcool avec des houblons Citra et Riwaka. C'est la première fois que je bois une Oat Cream. Il s'agit en fait une India Pale Ale avec une texture crémeuse dû à la présence d'avoine et du lactose. Dans le verre, on retrouve cette couleur orange / crème avec une belle mousse blanche. Au gout, j'ai bien aimé que l'amertume d'une IPA soit atténuée par le côté crémeux de l'avoine. C'est un type de bière que j'ai bien aimé, c'est sûr que je vais regarder ce que propose d'autres brasseries.

Design

Design-wise, this Alto CR can is like a comic strip with quite a lot of detail. I really like the little cyclops cat with its "Drink Fresh" sign, that's great advice 😀.

Côté design, cette canette Alto CR est comme une bande-dessinée avec pas mal de détail. J'aime beaucoup comme le petit chat cyclope avec son panneau "Boire Frais", c'est un très bon conseil 😀.
